Hey everyone! The absolutely incredible @gregsynthbootlegs sat down and made an amazing video doing a review of the Queen tribute album I recorded called “Chanpions: A Tribute to Queen” You can see the video at this link below! Champions: A Tribute to Queen (Full Album Review)
Greg and I have been talking shit ton over the last 4 months, mostly about Elton John and when he developed vocal nodules in 1986 (something we’re currently developing a fan made documentary about!). I also went through having vocal nodules, though mine were caught early enough and didn’t require any form of surgery. But it did change my voice a bit and Greg likes to discuss that with me and ask what my experience was like. Part of what makes my tribute interesting is the stark differences in the pre-nodule and post-nodule recordings in terms of range and some tone stuff, which he discusses intensely in the video. Anyway, I am honored he found my recordings worth the time and effort put into this, and I’ve never had anyone take this kind of interest in my voice or talk about my voice or covers like this and it meant the world to me. So once again, thank you so much Greg! If you do get a chance to listen to some of it, either through his video or the link to my upload of the album (which is in the description), I sincerely hope you enjoy it and thank you so much for taking the time to listen! (If you want specific highlights since it’s admittedly an incredibly long album, these are some of Greg and I’s top favorites: I Want It All *most likely the no. 1 best*, The Show Must Go On, Somebody To Love, Gimme The Prize, Who Wants to Live Forever, You Take My Breath Away, Love Of My Life, Breakthru, Hammer to Fall, Bohemian Rhapsody, and One Vision amongst others!)
