In the first picture, is that the t shirt Brian wears in the NOBY video?
And the guy on the far left of the second picture looks like DJ Jonno Coleman? I could be wrong tho…

In the first picture, is that the t shirt Brian wears in the NOBY video? He wore that shirt in as early as 1994 at the Kerrang! awards, when he presented an award to Def Leppard, and he also wore it at the Kerrang! awards in 1996, when Queen were inducted into the Kerrang! Hall of Fame. The outfit seen in the photo from that 1996 event is a close match to what was posted here, but the jacket is too dark, so that could mean he wore it to at least three different awards events plus the music video. Since he seemed to wear it for special occasions, I just searched for it and found out it was a Suicidal Tendencies (band) baseball jersey, with "SUICIDAL" written largely on the back where a player's name would be. In the video he might be wearing a variation without the wording, or it could be covered up. Shirt here: tshirtslayer.com/tshirt-or-longsleeve/suicidal-tendencies-baseball-shirt-0

So I was browsing an archived website (namely queen-fip), and I found two photos named award1.jpg and award2.jpg, that were first archived in 1998, but could have been uploaded earlier. I tried doing a reverse image search to find out where they came from, but I could only find one website, which seemed too sketchy to click, that seems to just have the same low-quality copy of one image. Does anyone know where the images came from and if there are any higher quality copies available? award1.jpg: award2.jpg: I found them while just looking through all archived pages, so I only saw the images themselves and not any associated text. I'll try to find the webpage where they appear to get more information, but I would also like to find higher quality copies of course. The accompanying text for those photos is here, on the archived queen-fip.com site: web.archive.org/web/19980121181642if_/http://queen-fip.com/cuttings.htm"Cologne, 15th August, 1997. Queen band members Roger Taylor and Brian May, joined by manager Jim Beach, were at POPKOMM, 1997 to receive from Helmut Fest, EMI ELECTROLA Managing Director, a triple platinum award (over 1.5 million units sold in Germany) for the "Made In Heaven" album released in 1995, gold (over 250,000 records sold) for "Queen Dance Traxx 1" (1996) and gold for the double CD "Queen Greatest Hits 1 & 2" (1997). Roger Taylor and Brian May then accepted a special award on behalf of QUEEN - the Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed on the band at the VIVA Comet Awards."

But now, are there any higher resolution images available?

It's a Suicidal Tendencies tour shirt. He copied the same style for the BTTL tour merch, so I presume it dates from before that...

I have several news reports on video, its the Comet Award believe me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dXl_1HGV5E&ab_channel=MKLSi did a quick transfer for you of the main award ceremony, not the best quality but the fastest now.
