Hello everyone. Maybe someone remembers about Brian's broken arm at 89 ?
His hand can be seen in the WWTLF video with Ian and Belinda and during the Smoke On The Water sessions for Rock Aid Armenia
I have the following information about the dates of these videos:
02 & 03.06.1989 Abbey Road Studios, 'Who Wants To Live Forever' Promo
12.06.1989 Nene Valley Railway, Cambridgeshire, Breakthru
08.07.1989 Metropolis Studios, London, Smoke On The Water (Rock Aid Armenia)
Why am I watching Brian's hand move again in the Breakthru clip? (I will be grateful if you help me figure it out)

His hand can be seen in the WWTLF video with Jan and Belinda and during the Smoke On The Water sessions for Rock Aid Armenia I have the following information about the dates of these videos: 02 & 03.06.1989 Abbey Road Studios, 'Who Wants To Live Forever' Promo 12.06.1989 Nene Valley Railway, Cambridgeshire, Breakthru 08.07.1989 Metropolis Studios, London, Smoke On The Water (Rock Aid Armenia) Why am I watching Brian's hand move again in the Breakthru clip? (I will be grateful if you help me figure it out) He fell of a skateboard during the filming of The Invisible Man video. From memory I think it was his shoulder rather than his arm, but I could be wrong. |

Didn’t he do it while on holiday in the US? Maybe I read it in one of the FC mags…. It looks like it. In the first days of July, Brian and Roger gave an interview in Los Angeles (Hard N Heavy). Brian's hand was healthy at that moment, then on July 8, he appeared with a cast on his left arm in the Metropolis Studio for the recording of Smoke On The Water. 2-3 June WWTLF Auditions at Abbey Road
12-13 June Breakthru video
July 1-7(?) Rog and Bri in US. While in US Brian has his skateboard accident, cracking a bone in his shoulder.
July 8 Rock Aid Armenia (day one), Brian's arm in sling.
July -? WWTLF promo video (and recording?) Brian's arm in sling.
July 26th Invisible Man video.*
Sept 27th Scandal video.
So the WWTLF video (and presumably the recording) was done at some point between 8th and 26th July.
(* the image of Brian on a skateboard in his "Invisible Man" getup (at the video shoot at Pinewood) is clearly confusing people.. this was not the same day as his accident but about three weeks later!)
