please think about how you title your threads. "Ann Wilson (Heart)" on first glance looks like it's in the wrong sub board I've reworded your title.
she's got a beautiful tone - and getting better as she gets older similarities to Janis Joplin.

Thanks, skallyuk! I've been a fan of Heart since I was young. I wanted a voice like Ann Wilson. I've seen Heart 2x in concert. The last time was the Heart: Love Alive Tour back in Aug. of 2019. It may have been the last concert we saw before COVID. Joan Jett and Elle King opened. As always, Ann's voice was fantastic. I love the fact that Heart and Queen once toured together.

Heart was one of my favorite bands before acoustic guitar went out of style and Heart's musical style changed. I attended a Heart concert in Hoffman Estates (Chicago suburb) on August 23 1982 with my girlfriend. I recall it being the best concert I ever attended. Somehow, with my summer internship job, I was unaware that Queen performed in Hoffman Estates ten days earlier on August 13th. I do recall, however, that my exgirlfriend was not a fan of Queen ...
Heavy sigh ...

Thanks for that. I recall hearing that Brian had a minor crush on Nancy back when Heart opened for Queen in Europe.
I would have loved to see Heart when they were at their peak in 1977 or 1978 (before the lead guitarist, Roger Fisher, rage-quit the band in the middle of a concert).

St. Jiub, I love Nancy Wilson's acoustic guitar on "Crazy on You," too - then and in 2019! I hope it works, but I've tried to attach a photo I took of the Heart: Love Alive Tour back in Aug. 2019, slightly over 2 years ago. It's not the sharpest image. We were seated back on lawn at an amphitheater. I was a Heart fan long before I became a Queen fan. As a student in elementary school, I heard them over the radio in my parents' vehicle and was blown away by these female rockers. As a young teen, I even joined their fan club called "The Heartbeats" and received their newsletters via snail mail. I'm dating myself (I'm Gen X.). Today, I follow them on social media - no dues! Thanks for the link! Besides Ann Wilson, I admire Linda Ronstadt's voice, too. I had never heard of her 1996 album "Dedicated to the One I Love." Per Wiki, it's "an album of rock classics reinterpreted as children's lullabies by American singer, songwriter and producer Linda Ronstadt." Who would've thought that "We Will Rock You" can help rock a baby to sleep? I'm sharing the video to a former Queenzone member and expectant 1st-time grandmother!

I don't know why but I thought her version was done when she was in Trio. I discovered it at the many listening stations at Virgin records many years ago.
