On a side note did Lee Nolan and Thor ever release their book on Freddie. as far as i know a lot of fans paid in advance for it It cost $50 and looks like a $5 book. I'm not surprised that IWIA is delayed again (and again and again), I'm more worried about that scumbag Rudi Dolezal enjoying our money for a year and a half already. |

Yes you are right about the Thor and Lee book, a real let down in my opinion, with all the talk on queenzone about it by them that it was to be a "coffee table " sized book, very little stories etc and pictures even though they said they had loads of both. Got it on amazon so at least it wasnt too out of the way price wise. Neal Prestons book i picked up as well, now thats def for a coffee table!!

Frankly, I'm tired of Greg's FB posts about the book. I like Greg, but he'll say something along the lines of "big news tomorrow" and then absolutely nothing and blames it on QPL. I'm sure I'll purchase the book when it's out but I left the hype train a long time ago.

looking at Christmas 2018 for publication, though this is not yet 100% confirmed.

If every album is covered in Volume 1.... volume 2 is either post-1996 (the musical, Q+) or "here's the less interesting stuff we didn't have room for in the 400 page £50 book we sold you last time". Neither of those would appeal - sales would be like GH3 vs GH1. Actually, I think this is just marketing. Like when an active band puts out "greatest hits volume 1" to imply "we're not done yet" |

If I read it correctly, the first volume is about all (studio?) albums/singles. Volume 2 is about all memorabilia re. live-concerts (with Freddie)...

There is far too much brilliant memorabilia from the Queen Archive to fit into one book, so it’s going to be two, and spanning 900 pages instead of the original plan of 450.
This radical restructuring means that it will be published next year, but will offer more than twice as much as you expected.

There is far too much brilliant memorabilia from the Queen Archive to fit into one book, so it’s going to be two, and spanning 900 pages instead of the original plan of 450.

According to Amazon update this has been further delayed till July 2023. I put my preorder in two years ago with a company called A Good Read, and they have gone into receivership, so now trying to get money back.
This book better be worth the wait when it finally arrives.

And now it’s two volumes at £50 a pop. Well that's a good thing. It means A) he's found more stuff to put in it and B) hopefully the pictures will be of a decent size. All those official promo posters for albums and singles, and various press ads from around the world deserve a dedicated psge on their own. If all they get is a offset 3"x 4" space on a page, I won't be disappointed, I'll be pissed off. Make it THREE volumes if necessary. Though get rid of photos of bootlegs. I only want photos of official stuff, not fricking toy cars with a Queen logo glued to the side (like those cheap chinese knock-offs you see in cheap toy shops) |

I received an email about my I Want it All pre-order: the October 26, 2023 release date has been moved to July 5, 2024. <fast forward a few years> I Want It All has been delayed and will now be released the week after the sun melts the Earth and the universe implodes on itself. Still no news on the Anthologies. |

It would have been much more practical for Greg to establish a site akin to Bob's queenlive and publish his work in progress there and make updates on it as new items come to sight.
Or make a subsection on official Queen site and do the same.
Instead he is obsessed with making it a book, now in 4 volumes, which is bound to come with a gargantuan price tag.
