So I guess fans from every band never get satisfied. Queen studio collection was the great, with very good book. Thank God it was released before the movie, so long time fans - collectors could buy it. Rainbow boxset was also very good while News of the world was having some great things like All dead All dead, sleeping on a side walk, a great LP press for the boxset. The raw cd is very good, I don't give attention to what some fans said. It is really good. The bonus were the mess... I fully understand why Queen said we are happy and thankful for 50 years. Don't expect them to release anything. If something comes out it is very welcome. |

I just received my copy of the boxset today. Is it awesome? Yes. Was it worth the full price though? Debatable...
I'll be making a full review at some point and report my findings in a more appropriate subforum.

50 years box set from Queen is something which we obviously won't get, but what will they release for Christmas? I don't mean socks and beer etc. but proper box set (Miracle?) or new concert? Or just another GH reissue?

The cat's out of the bag....they're going to do a mandatory recall of all copies of A Day At The Races ever sold, and replace them with Live Around The World. Of course, there will be a small administrative charge of $99,95, but in return, Live Around The World will come with a code for downloading an absolutely free, previously unreleased picture of Brian at a Christmas party in 2007.
If you don't want to part with your copy/copies of ADATR, QPL will send someone over to have a friendly chat, break your kneecaps and take it anyway. At an additional charge, obviously, but rest assured that face masks will be worn at all times. Or balaclavas, at any rate...

Shame they didn't release a "Queen" box: Album, Quad Mix (if it really does exist), that live concert they found Brian banged on about 11 months ago, instrumental version of the album (ah well, I've made that myself) and a disc or two of out-takes. Oh, and a book full of information, like The Beatles books, not just the usual 30 pages of photos. I'm sure we'll get a Ltd Ed GH picture disc in December from QOL. Surprised actually they didn't release GH2 in multiple formats like they did with GH this year. It is 30 years since it came out! |
