I decided to watch a bit of the Freddie tribute from 1992, which I did actually watch at the time (I feel old, although I was very young then!). At 6.01 Bob Geldof says something about him and Freddie staying up late into the night and Freddie speaking fluent Gaelic....... Really Bob Geldof here strikes me as a person who has completely lost his mind, since as far as Peter Freestone knew, Freddie only spoke English, and although we know now that "Mustapha" is not 'gibberish' as Freddie said it was (although it's not evidence he was fluent in Farsi or Arabic), why on earth would Freddie have reason to speak English? I suspect the Gaelic Geldof was talking about included the words "whisky" and "Guinness".
The bigger mystery is how does Roger know Geldof is ticklish....

I found your comment to be an over-sensitive reaction to a very obvious Geldof joke. If you don't understand something, just say so - rather than imply someone "lost their mind" by making a comment that sailed over your head. btw - if you're unable to spell someone's username correctly, try using the quote option and the boards will spell the name for you. |

Technically, that *does* seem to be a correct Latinization of the Cyrillic script you use in your username...it's also obviously not what your username is, but hey, minor detail, right?
