I was really enjoying the top ten albums poll, for the few hours that it existed on the weekend! I’d like to read more of everyone’s choices. Please feel free to blab on and on and explain your choices.
The moderator originally asked that the list be in a particular format so that the info could be easily entered in to a spreadsheet. If everyone could try and use the preferred format at least the mod has the option of resurrecting his poll, however, I don’t care, as this thread is just for kicks.

I based my list on albums I listen to a lot, not albums I respect but don’t especially play that often, so I excluded Led Zeppelin 4 and Dark Side of the Moon. If it had been a top twenty I would’ve included three Bowie albums: Hunky Dory, Station to Station and Low. Honourable mention: Violator by Depeche Mode - the best album made by a mediocre band!

Oh, I agree compilation/hits albums should be excluded. I also think only studio albums should be included, not live albums, but that was not an original rule of the poll.

I've always tried to keep my music tastes varied, but at heart I like noisy guitars. Since they've fallen out of fashion in the past decades, I've found myself drawn to more electronic music. And I'm a complete sucker for good melodies sung well, so that opened up a variety of genres. And I like it when songs use sound design to create their own worlds. Just about the only things I can't find a way into are jazz, hip-hop and reggae. Oh, and Ed Sheeran.
