This was touched upon on the best B-side thread but just to give it a bit of a run-out, is there a Queen song you don't get on with to such an extent you'd be happy to see it completely scrubbed from their catalogue?
There will be many who are appalled at the idea and that's commendable but for others, I'm sure there must be a track that makes you wince when you hear it, whether it's musically, lyrically or performance and production that has you reaching for the skip button. We're talking beyond just having heard a song one too many times and into the realm of you finding it almost offensive. Yes, I really do hate "Life is Real" that much.
Musically, it's got one passable hook and John's playing is great. That's as far as I can possibly push myself to saying anything else positive. Lyrically, I think it's harrowingly bad, I can't think of another Queen song which comes close to the clumsy, sub-sixth form poetry on offer. I'd have thought the first non-negotiable for writing a tribute would be not to disgrace the subject but here we are. Even the "Song for Lennon" part of the title gives it a horrible, misplaced grandeur which is clearly unfitting when you hear it. At least "Delilah" is meant to be throwaway. As a whole, it doesn't even feel finished - I'd be disappointed if this turned up as a previously undiscovered track. By a mile, the worst song on 'Hot Space', let alone anything else. I could go on but I'll let you lot nominate, disagree or applaud loudly!

I will never understand how My Baby Does Me made it onto an album. At best it's a B side, so I'd like to erase that from The Miracle and replace it with TMLWKY.
Other than that, and most of Hot Space, everything makes up the rich tapestry of the Queen catalogue. Even Delilah has its place, as it's what Freddie wanted to do and who could deny him a soppy track at that stage?

First thing that comes to mind is My Baby Does Me. Especially when such good material was available to fill the spot (TMLWKY, Hang On In There, Hijack My Heart, ...).

I know it’s a cliche but Body Language. I’ve come to appreciate it a bit more over the years – I loved it when I was younger, before I knew what it meant – but it’s still so loathsome to me that I would rather it never existed at all.

I think the humour of Body Language gives it a clear pass from me. I'm generally very forgiving of Hot Space, largely because it is no worse than the worst of The Works

How near the top of your favourites does it appear? In a catalog of 350+ songs? Really? Well, I suppose it takes all sorts eh?

My Baby Does Me or Delilah. There were better songs from The Miracle that could have landed in MBDM’s place.
I get Delilah making it due to Freddie’s wish though, but still usually skip it.

I can't stand the following songs, I believe they don't give anything in Queen music catalogue.
1. Fun it 2. In only 7 days 3. Body language, 4. Pain is so close to pleasure 5. The invisible man (only the middle section is good)
6. Breakthru (hate the synth bass) 7. Rain must fall 8. My baby does me (although guitar is great).

Feelings Feelings and most of the demo only songs are shite (Feel It being the exception). There was a reason they were left off the records.
Rain Must Fall and My Baby Does Me are passable (both better than Back Chat IMO)

To be fair, most of the demos weren't finished, which might account for some of the shiteness, but I have to agree, I've not heard one where I've thought, Wow, that should have been on the album.

Say what you want about the song, but Brian May's guitar orchestration in the middle is one of his greatest creations.

I fond it hilarious that everyone's choices are my faves! Me too! I really like all of their songs, but there are two songs I never gonna like, no matter how much I try Gimme The Prize & She Makes Me One is like Flash's Theme with the dialogues (at least in the Flash's Single there aren't too much of them) and the other one is boring as fuck, but I really like Brian's job there The only version that I like of Gimme The Prize is the 'Shorter Mix' that I heard on the C_Matt's HD Revision

I would say 'I Guess We're Falling Out' but technically it was completed, just divided in different songs

Misfire! I know a few people here like the song, but I just can't see why. It sounds more like a parody of Queen to me. Another one is 'Man On The Prowl', just can't stand it
(Also, nice title!)

The biggest 'misfire' on Sheer Heart Attack has got to be She Makes Me. It's the one track on the album I always skip.

I can't really get my head around how he envisioned it to be different?

Are there any notable mentions in interviews of individual members openly saying they don't like certain tracks? There's the period when Brian and Roger didn't feel happy with Don't Stop Me Now and certain tracks Roger said always knackered him out live (eg Now I'm Here) but is there anything else beyond that?

I'm always amused by the hate for My Baby Does Me. I think it's a fun laid back track. I love it! Whenever I think of tracks I "don't like", I know that when I listen to them, I like 'em more if that makes sense lol. BUT tracks that I wouldn't really miss would be Body Language and Don't Lose Your Head. And one perhaps surprising track...I tend to skip Son and Daughter...

I can't really get my head around how he envisioned it to be different? I can imagine how Roger may have wanted it to sound. A quick look back at the Cross' Mad/Bad CD (released a year later) - gives a feel of what Roger was into at the time. There's a few similar sounding songs; Penetration Guru & Power To Love. I think Breakthru probably evolved twice too often for his liking. And - regarding the drums in particular: Wasn't there a drum session (instrumental) recorded separately (during the late summer '88 sessions) - but never used?
