Like Jagger & Richards, Lennon and McCartney always seemed to have attributed all their Beatles songs as a duo, regardless of who actually wrote it. Does anyone remember when McCartney tried to go back and retain sole credit for....Ii think it was 'Hey Jude' but Yoko was having none of that mess.
Also, I remember when he was pissed off about Michael buying all his songs upon his recommendation of getting into publishing. He said, "Sure, it's about business but it's also about friendship."
What a poor face-saving move on his part. No, actually, it really is about business.

It wasn’t Hey Jude, but Yesterday. He told Howard Stern in 2001 that he wanted to change it from Lennon/McCartney as all songs they wrote where credited, to McCartney/Lennon since it was a song he wrote himself and he is the only Beatle who plays on it. Yoko refused and it damaged their relationship at the time
