I'm sure this is well known, but quite interesting as quite a lot of unreleased stuff: www.queenpedia.com/index.php?title=SessionographyI've read several times that there was a rumoured 40 songs brought into The Game sessions. I know a couple have popped up here and there, but does anyone know what happened to the rest?

I know a couple have popped up here and there, but does anyone know what happened to the rest? Of the original 10 - Rock It could've been a composite - the intro suggests a "Breakthru" approach. this would (possibly) equate to 11 tracks. additional tracks? A Human Body Football Fight Future Management Fun In Space It's a Beautiful Day Sandbox The KissI've included the Roger tracks as recording started just prior to The Game being released. MY feeling being that Rog wanted them on the game, but the band didn't - so he got to work on them as soon as the sessions finished - i'd suggest (these at least) included FIS and Future Management. Football Fight and The Kiss were during the early Game sessions - but Flash tracks. Was Brian's The Dark around that time too? I know he started recording after the album was finished, but the idea must've been kicking around. I'm thinking that the rumoured "40 tracks" is probably the band talking literally about everything that was brought to The Game sessions...which would include the Flash Album too. So 11 (Game (if Rock It was composite) + 18 (Flash) + 3 (unreleased) + 2 Roger + 1 (Brian) = 35

plenty of songs from Roger's first album could have been contenders for The Game

I don't feel like creating a new topic for this, so I'll mention it here. Peter Straker launched his Youtube channel recently. In the latest video he said that he took part in Queen recording sessions for Flash and Under Pressure, but they didn't used his vocals because they were too distinctive: www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1EvTGFsNe8&t=1213sIn other video he was asked about his contribution to the lyrics of I'm Going Slightly Mad. He said very directly that's not true. It's here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7kSUmHZYpE&t=1203s

Strange that he didn't say he was on The great pretender with Freddie, but instead said that he was removed from Flash and Under Pressure.

He'd already spoken about 'The Great Pretender' earlier in that same interview, so that's probably why he didn't mention it again.
