As well as Queen, I'm a big YES fan and I was reminded of this whilst browsing the excellent 'Forgotten Yesterdays' site; forgotten-yesterdays.com/dates.asp?qbandid=1&qyear=1971&qdateid=939I've seen at least one of the posters before but I thought that those who weren't aware might be interested in seeing them and the quote from Doug Bogie. There's not a lot to see to be honest but wouldn't it be fantastic to hear a recording of this show...and the Royal Albert Hall performances!

The quote and the accompanying text was pinched from my website. Delightful.
Speaking of Yes (one of my favourite bands too), I just came across this last night - some mighty good storytelling here, like the studio cleaning lady throwing out bits of tape from the end section of Close to the Edge, which they had to rescue from the bin in the rain (!):

That makes three of us, I'm a long-time Yes fan - even of the current incarnation I'm reminded of the B.P. Fallon interview where Roger spoke about the early Queen days - "We wanted to be a sort of Yes-meets-Led Zeppelin, really." Not sure if that worked out

Usually if someone is going to quote someone else word for word in an article, they check with the person who wrote it for permission. It happened to me with the official site back in 2009 when they pinched copy I’d written for Queenpedia, and they didn’t credit me. I kicked up a stink and they gave me a co-credit, even though it was still all my copy. But they sent me some goodies too, so I was easily placated. (And it was for Live In Ukraine, so not even a “major” album.)

Unreal, but unsurprising. In just a couple short decades the internet has created a society where people young and old, professional and amateur alike, have no idea what copyright and ownership are anymore, treating it like a buffet where they can take what they want when they want.
They credited Neal Preston, but it's not his shot. Even if it was, why in the world would the designers of the official website need to source out one of their official photographers' photos from somewhere else ?
If they'd just scrolled down they could've seen that the photographer's name is Dan Hogle and taken ten seconds to credit him. But if even QPL's web people can't be bothered to check, then who will ?
