Alright, while listening to Landover 1978 audio, i noticed Let Me Entertain You was dropped and replaced with If You Can't Beat Them, i wondered if more shows had this same setlist choice, so i found a list of songs (in random order) by someone who attended New Haven 11/7, the list of songs curiously does not mention LMEY either, you can see it here, then i looked at reviews of the shows around it, and thanks to them, i can confirm New Orleans, Miami, Lakeland and 2nd Detroit don't have it either, this makes me think the song was dropped after Dallas (where Freddie struggled with the song, particularly the choruses), likely all the way to Boston 11/13, where it is mentioned in the setlist Gary Taylor has in his book (confirmed by the fact he has a soundboard recording of that show).

Very weird that they dropped it, because it made a good Song #2 slot (or even just an opener to the show all together!), although I guess it was to make the set easier on Fred's voice, at least until he figured out how to sing it effectively, while still having it be conservative.
Would be interesting to hear that Boston version tho, just to get the difference between the first and the second performances of it.

Just looking over the Jazz '78 set lists, it seemed like they were playing around with it a lot. On a lot of the early dates, Sheer Heart Attack was earlier in the set, before Keep Yourself Alive, with a transition between the two songs.
For me, If You Can't Beat Them just doesn't work as song number 2 – you need something higher energy after We Will Rock You, and Let Me Entertain You fit that need perfectly. I always thought it would've been a good concert opener, and I think it served that purpose a few times on the Crazy Tour, but the fast Rock You just can't be beat.

I'm working on a private Live Wiki atm and after reading through a lot of reviews from the early NA Jazz Tour I agree with Littlequeenie!
Also they didn't really play around with the set that much, as the Sheer Heart Attack into Keep Yourself Alive "medley" was apparently played like that at all shows until the first Detroit show (November 9th) where a review specifically mentions Sheer Heart Attack as an encore where it would remain for the whole tour.

Freddie can't reach the notes, the tempo is much much slower. They probably dropped it for a while to refine the arrangement later on.

Interesting observation. Indeed, it doesn't seem any reviews past Dallas mention the song until Boston.
The review for Kalamazoo even states they do "a track from the new Jazz LP", then follows up with "[After] Somebody to Love, Queen sped through an abbreviated medley..." Indicating there wasn't a song between these two as their would be later on, making it seem like that new Jazz track was If You Can't Beat Them.

Is there any indication that LMEY wasn't played in Memphis 1978?

I think the only information we have regarding Memphis' set is it having Jailhouse Rock.
