I hate to ask considering that I am new here, but if I wanted to self-promote a Queen cover/tribute band here (unless if that's against the forum rules, in which you can tell me) that I operate, where would I do so here?

yes, sounds about right. as long as you're not actually advertising tickets/music for sale it should be fine.
