Hi there,
I recently watched some episodes of the "King Of Queens". In episode "Big Dougie" from the second season the main character Doug asks one of his best friends Deacon if he has a middle name. Deacon replies with "Yes, John" making his complete name "Deacon John Palmer". Is this a reference to John Deacon from Queen?
Would you agree?

I've never seen it but I guess it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for the writer(s) to be fans.

Though I was looking for the previous QUEEN I last song standing poll, I got caught up and noticed this. And I'm aware that I'm apparently replying to a banned member. My thoughts? It MAY be possible. The show had several references to Prince (something about a flashback and a little midget teaching us the meaning of rock and roll, PLUS the house residence was listed as "3121" Which was a Prince motif at the time. Apparently a biblical passage but also the name of his album and scrapped film. Rock and roll was prominent in the writing, for instance and both Huey Lewis and Eddie Money guested on big episodes. Some references to the Ink Spots etc. It doesn't hurt that co star Leah Remini (*she was HOT) used to sneak into Prince gigs in the 80s and went a long time back sharing an inside story only HINTED at when she guested on ARSENIO HALL'S second TV show on TBS. They mingled. Like I said, she was pretty damn hot back then. It's a question worth asking, I suppose. Try Twitter.
