I was talking to one of my best mates (a writer) last night and somehow it became apparent that he didn't realise I was such a big fan of Queen. I don't know how this could be but there ya go.
Eager to make amends, he wracked his brains and remembered an occasion he was interviewing the actor, John Hurt, a good few years ago. Apropos of nothing, John had suddenly started talking about Freddie and how much he loved him and that they had kept in touch over the years. He said that Freddie was always wonderfully bitchy about other bands and recalled that one of his favourites was when Freddie launched into a rant about Duran Duran - "they're all so fucking fat!"
That's all I'm afraid but it made me laugh!
