It is not easy to cover a or any queen (related) song. But so now and then there are some that pass our test. I start off with Aaron Perry who did a very enjoyable βin my defenceβ Personaly i got caught up in his performance and was almost cheering for him to copy Him as good as possible. QAL covers Queen?
I spent some time on Setlist.fm and Iβm wondering, why every Queen song that QAL is performing is listed as a βQueen Coverβ? I get it, when Adam is singing.
But when Roger performs βIβm in Love with my Carβ? Or Brian 39β ? They are playing their own songs. The songs they wrote and sang themselves on the record. Thatβs not a cover.
Is anyone here, who posts on Setlist.FM and can explain the reasons behind these βcoversβ?

They probably Class Queen+ as a new band, so it is a cover.
So it's a cover of Queen.
Like the Queen version Heaven for Everyone is a cover for the cross song, even though the writer is in both bands.

That version of The Fairy Fellows Master Stroke is insane. The guitar solo sounds like Deep Purple on a cocktail of acid and amyl nitrate!
