Hi all,
In May 2021 I pre-ordered the XXXX-release of Never Boring. At the time, a coloured-vinyl-edition of Never Boring would be included, which was the main reason for my pre-order. Scheduled release-date then was September 2021.
After a long, long wait, there was an email stating that due to vinyl-shortage the release would be later, aiming for May 2022. And finally, in July of this year, there was a message stating that the vinyl was no longer part of the release. An alternative was given: cancelling the complete order, or getting a 10 euro refund and adding some extra prints and a slipmat. I mailed them to cancel the order which was confirmed on July 9th.
Since then, I've had numerous moments of contact with them, be it via email or Twitter, but as quick they were to get my money back then, as slow they are to return it. They have asked three times for me to confirm my emailaddress, promised it would be completed "at the end of that week" and now it looks like they are simply ignoring my emails.
Since the original purchase is over a year ago, neither paypal or my creditcardcompany offer the possibility of opening a dispute. Does anyone know another way to get my money back?
(I have not mentioned the name of the company as that might be against forum regulations, although I cannot find an article in there that forbids it directly)

It's theft.
Report them to the police, trading standards, and the press.
Go to Companies House website, get directors home addresses, send them a letter. Figure out who their head of legal is from LinkedIn and/or corporate website, and start sending all mail to them.

I don't think there is any need to name the company. But, you could also go on their Twitter feed and any review web sites that they might be registered with, such as Trustpilot. In my experience, companies often respond to bad publicity such as this, but make sure you stick to the facts.

Hi, I asked for full refund too. After I send them several reminders I got a reply that they had a system error and were not able to refund my €91,34 to my PayPal account and asked for my PayPal-mail address to do it manually. Still didn't get the refund. Now they don't reply to my emails anymore. Wished I took a look at the Trustpilot reviews before I ordered. I think its a total loss.

I guess you'd need to have certain details to do so, but would it be possible to send them a PayPal invoice (money request) for the amount owing? That might then allow PayPal to chase them if they don't respond. Not sure if it would work but what have you got to lose? I believe you only need an email address to send a PayPal invoice.

Thanks for all the replies and tips. I did two things yesterday: 1. I sent messages through LinkedIn to some high executives at the company 2. I sent an email to all the “brick-and-mortar”-shops that sell releases from the site I ordered from, explaining the issue and asking them to forward my email to the customer support-department with a cc to my mailaddress.
I got some cc’s from those mails AND a reply from a “partner” at the company (his title on LinkedIn) and after two more messages asking for details of my order, I just got confirmation from PayPal that the refund is being processed.
So, I guess persistence pays off. Thanks again for the tips!
(If anyone needs the names of the people I contacted or that list of mailaddresses, PM me and I’d be glad to help).
