Finally! Very nice. Photo of Freddie is from Headlong 1990 video shoot. I tried to find the moment in the Headlong video where he does that pose, but I can't find it. I guess it didn't make the final cut. By the way, does anyone else think it's weird that this one picture of Freddie that's used in promotions world wide for Face it Alone is from the Innuendo days, especially when it's expected to be a part of a forthcoming The Miracle boxset? Not that I would use an image from, say, The Invisible Man video, but wouldn't a shot from I Want it All work jus as well? It takes effort at times, but I don't let that stuff bother me. The video from Let Me In Your Heart Again was outtakes from 1986, and I survived.

Face it Alone is expected to be part of a deep dive into The Miracle sessions exclusively.

In the Face it Alone poster, his sweatshirt has dark piping/stripes in high contrast, but in Headlong the piping is light grey on yellow, which doesn't produce the same level of contrast. There's also dark striping visible on the cuff on the poster, right at his elbow. The cuff on the yellow outfit doesn't have this striping... or is that a shadow from excess fabric? I know it's a long shot and probably has something to do with post-processing but I'll throw it out there anyway.

Dave Clark wouldn't agree to that unless it was "Dave Clark presents a Dave Clark production of a Dave Clark composition, starring Dave Clark, assisted by Queen under the musical direction of Dave Clark." Indeed. I heard Dave gave Jim quite the headache when it came to “Time Waits For No One”

That's very interesting, it's hard to say as you don't see Freddie from the same angle in the video but it does look different. Which means it could be a from a walldrobe test I guess.... I know it's not strictly Miracle era but It's amazing they've got a posed publicity photo that's been left unpublished from the time the song was actually being worked on.

I would love Dave Clark to release the soundboard recordings of the 3 live Freddie performances

It's the same top - the yellow one has grey piping visible on the sleeve, consistent with the dark piping on the promo image. Making a light grey appear darker is a consequence of the processing they've done to make the contrast how they want it

The picture of Freddie on the Face It Alone banner advertising DEFINETELY comes from the Headlong video shooting. Look at the photo below (courtesy of queenphotos.wordpress.com): Behind Freddie there’s the same Roger’s “Ludwig” black bassdrum which is seen in the video (courtesy of debdarkpetal.tumblr.com):

I could be wrong on this, it was a while ago I had heard this.

I have a feeling that, the song is going to be a ballad in the style of White Snake's Is this love or Def Leppard's Love Bites.
There are some influnces on the Miracle album by Def Leppard.
I am waiting to hear it, there are chances to be quite good and who knows maybe it will enter top 40 or higher. In rock singles charts it will go number one.

Sorry to be so negative, but I'm expecting this to be an autotuned frankenstein of a song that was never that good in the first place. But I could be wrong!

The single remix of LMIYHA was also very modernised, although I love the way it sounds, so I wouldn't mind if Face It Alone sounds as less dated too. Can't wait for it

I think "Let Me In Your Heart Again" is pretty great! The end result is polished and it wouldn't have felt out of place in "The Works". But I'm not sure how "Face It Alone" will feel... what we heard already feels like it wasn't fully developed back then. Somehow, I don't expect Freddie's part to feel finished. I hope to be all kinds of wrong though. They’ve posted a small snippet on Twitter! To be honest it's a bit surreal hearing that from the official Queen account after knowing the bootleg for all these years.... Definitely surreal! A rare track being used on street marketing worldwide; it's a first.

We're assuming that the song wasn't developed based on what we've heard. There might be a load of vocal takes that exist with different lyrical ideas? Being the perfectionist that Brian is, I can't see him letting an outtake be released if it wasn't possible to salvage it properly.
Although the artwork is awful as always, I'm trusting the audio team to have done a good job on this. Can't see them splurging money on a promotional campaign if the song wasn't up to scratch. They clearly have high hopes that it could go to number 1, which is massive for an outtake. It could also be good news for us, as it could signal a relaxing of Roger and Brian's attitude towards archive material. So let's all try and support it.

It does sound (to me) like they've used some pretty have pitch correction in that clip. Although from such a short clip it is kinda difficult to say for sure

I would love for Face It Alone to do well, at least get into the Top 10 but I can't see how it can. The Singles Chart haven't been the same in the least eight or so years.
I'm guessing it won't be officially released until midnight on Friday so sales and streams of the song can count for the following week. Otherwise 12 hours of immediate listening will be excluded making it more difficult losing that amount of sales.

I was never that impressed with the demo online. This song would need some serious digital surgery to be worth marketing, IMO.

Tbh I don't think they would even attempt it if they had little more than the demo, especially since they have other stuff like Dog With A Bone they could've chosen to release instead

I’ve asked the fan club Twitter account if it’s getting a premiere anywhere or if it’s a straight up release and they’ve said as far as they know it’s a straight up release

So, is this just going to be a digital release? I'm surprised Amazon haven't got it up for pre-order yet, and the same goes for the QOL shop.

I know there’s been a lot of speculation but this latest clip is just spine tingling hearing that voice. There are obviously a lot of takes on this we haven’t heard and it really is just amazing to hear Freddie’s voice.

So will this song become a teaser for the Miracle Box-set and will be doing all the "heavy no.1 list-and-pr-lifting" for the boxset or is the boxset out of the picture right now ?
