You think so huh? Well DON'T skip "Invisible Man" in the mistaken belief that's it's the same as the 2011 version.... How would Harry know (or care) if it is the same as the 2011 version? ... Unless he is The Invisible Man ... Maybe Brian's Wig was referring to the audio demo?

So according to Brian 'they took this all out on tour' - must have missed The Miracle Tour Oh brother. " you get to know what we were like inside the studio, and outside the studio as well because we took it on out on tour". Coming shortly after talk of the CD containing interviews, it seems to me that he's referencing the band heading out and doing Mike Read and Rockline interviews.

After listening to the sessions disc many times over my top 5 in no order are
Breakthru - Ever wondered what The Mircle tour would sound like? Put some crowd noise in the background and this Breakthru take sounds as close as you'd get!
I Guess We're Falling Out - the new lyrics were a surprise. Sounds as nice as the well known leaked version.
I Want It All - Was nice hearing a different version to a classic.
Was It All Worth It - Lots of lines I felt were better in this take than the final one. I love this song.
Party - It shocked me how much better it is than the version released. I'll never understand why they released that version when they had this.
I liked and enjoyed everything else other than two. I even liked Brian's demos.
The two I didn't enjoy was The Invisible Man because its pretty much or might be the same as the one released in the deluxe version of Miracle. Does no early takes of Freddie singing this song exist? If so then this inclusion makes sense.
Scandal I found boring even though I love this song. Same vocals as released version, would've liked to have heard a different vocal take on this. Teaser tape had a different take of Scandal, right?
Overall though I loved it! You're all in for a treat.

I Want It All didn't look great on the Blu Ray either. Looked really grainy and fuzzy. Not as nice as I thought it might look with it being the only video in true HD.

I thought the Teaser Tape version was the same as on the album. Differences are in the Capitol Records and Rough Mixes Tape.

Are the outtakes/demos of the album tracks radically different to what we already know and love (or loathe in some cases)? I think I spoiled a lot already, and I do my best at hiding them under a spoiler tag, because I respect that a lot of people want to be surprised when they receive the box. But in the meantime I've seen my information appearing on other sites/places and it's not hidden there. So regard the next bit more as a tease and my last spoiler: Yes, differences. The demo's have other bits and pieces here and there. As for the album tracks, to my knowledge, they were not leaked before (Invisible Man is not the same version as on the 2011 Deluxe Edition. I think that My Baby Loves Me was leaked before, not sure if this is the same), so do expect: other lyrics here and there, different bits and pieces, false starts (had me laughing out loud), parts of songs being in a completely other spot as where they eventually got (that was a sudden mindfuck ) All that sort of things, you are in for a treat. But again, that is purely my opinion.

Only slightly, but it's certainly not as different as the other songs' vocal tracks. I wonder if Brian more or less had the song in place when he wrote it? I'd say this is probably the least essential track on the disc, and there's still enough to keep it interesting. (Though they went too hard with the 'clap' sound effect...)

Hi, it's an awful wait for those of us who didn't get the boxset early Is the guitar anymore promenent in the new mix of Scandal, I always loved the song but thought Brian's guitar could have been more to the forefront. The album is of it's era really, it refelcts studio trends at that time.

Yep, had another listen and I'm wrong here. I meant to say the lyrics are the same and sounds very similar to release version but it is definitely a different vocal take. My bad there. But I still feel it's one of the lesser interesting ones as the others had studio chatter and different lyrics. I guess as someone said already this was one was pretty much already ready to go.

I appreciate all of this information. I live in Japan and the boxset I ordered is being delivered to my parents' house in the UK. I kinda don't want my family to open the box for me when it finally arrives, but I have no plan to go back home before May 2023, so I wonder how many months it will be before I can actually hear these tracks

So..Just a few things: party and kashoggi are way better than the album version, as if you could imagine them playing a Miracle live tour. The Miracle John ending: wow, John was so fucking genius, kind a like Super Mario Bros theme ending,so funny, very interesting. I loved Breakthru, it seems another song, brilliant. I Want It all starting reminds me some Bring Back That Leroy Brown, cool! I don't know why they mixed Dog With a Bone without all of those Freddie power vocals we had on the previous fan club version. I Guess we're fallin out, they done a great job putting together what they had from other takes. Overall I Love the miracle sessions, I think It was worth waiting years for this.

Would’ve been nice to hear a version of Scandal with real drums too (like Breakthru), but perhaps Roger never even tried it and Brian was firm on keeping his drum machine….

So do we think it was Brian that was so fond of the drum machine? Makes sense given what they were saying about the retake of I Can’t Live With You for Queen Rocks they mentioned that Roger wasn’t pleased that his drums were left off the original. Perhaps we’ll get an Innuendo box set……………

Yes...and not exactly..because you can hear clearly at the end that Freddie wants to take it to the Hang On In There direction, but it's brilliant to hear these kind of things because we have finally a "how to" of what they have done The Miracle album finished with choiced songs instead of others ones rejected. Of course the rejected songs are gold for anybody in the music industries but we know Queen were perfectionist.

I've only seen The Miracle so far out of the music videos, but that alone looks like it's been poorly upscaled with AI software.

In The Miracle take you can hear Freddie ask if John is happy. Miracle starts with a little ad lib before the lyrics begin. The final verse is combined in this take, so you can hear Freddie sing "The one thing, We're all waiting for, Is peace on earth" whilst "That time will come one day you'll see, When we can all be friends" is played faintly in the background. John's ending is really upbeat and doesn't fit the song in my opinion. Sounds nice though, perfect for a different song. Maybe so, but it's still using the chord progression from earlier in the song, just in a different key.
It looks like this was an incremental step towards what they were going for, as they clearly were looking for a way to do the tempo change, and they eventually got there.

ok, I just discover that the demo of Invisible Man is different to the one on the 2011 remaster. I just skip the first time, becouse the firsts minutes are exactly the same as the 2011 version, but the last 1 and a half minutes, on the 2011 version is a long instrumental part. On this demo that one and half minutes have on top of that instrumental section a very interesting guitar solo from Brian that extends during one and a half minutes Not really different, sounds like Brian recorded this for the boxset and it's not something original from 1988

Party - It shocked me how much better it is than the version released. I'll never understand why they released that version when they had this. Because it was 1988, and nobody could've predicted how dated that technology was going to sound in just a few years' time.

Same with Pink Floyd and “A Momentary Lapse Of Reason,” which is why David Gilmour re-mixed it a few years ago with help from Nick Mason re-recording almost all of the drum parts. If Queen could do the same with “The Miracle” it would be an even better album

Having heard a version of "Breakthru" from the boxset I'm pleasantly suprised with quality of Freddie's voice on these alternative takes. They don't have that huskiness or hoarseness which Freddie has on all final Miracle album tracks. His voice sounds much closer to Barcelona for me.

Then again, he also said Scandal was one of the last videos they did. Has he forgotten the Innuendo album? Bless... But In an way, Scandal was one of the last videos they did, well at least, did together. TSMGO and Innuendo didn't actually involve the band performing in front of the camera. And Brian did his bits for TATDOOL separately from the rest of the band afterwards. So, they only performed/acted on Headlong and IGSM for Innuendo videos all together as a band, and in that sense Scandal indeed was one of the last videos thay did. At least this makes Brian's perspective more understandable.

They still had the title track to film in November. But technically it is “one of” the last videos, I think it’s just weird for us to read that knowing there were six videos to go.
