Interesting that they seem to mention many times that Breakthru interview is the last John gave?
At least during filming of These Are the Days of Our lives he gave some interviews?

I also find it it strange that TMLWKY is included on the vinyl, but not on any other discs.. They've said again it's the same version as on MiH, so I'm not that fussed. You could argue that they could bring in All God's People from Innuendo on the same basis. Oh, it's the MIH version. I think there was some false information about this earlier.
And indeed, AGP is another omission on this box, as we know it was originally planned and recorded for The Miracle. By the way, is there any information whether they re-recorded AGP for Innuendo or did they use the take from The Miracle sessions? The finished song sounds very Innuendo-era to my ear, but that's probably because I'm so used to hear it as a part of that album. That handwritten early The Miracle tracklist shows that the version planned for album was 4.15 long, so it's pretty close to the version on Innuendo (especially 'cos the song fades out). Anyway, it would have been a nice addition to get an early version of AGP as well, though I totally understand why they did not include it here.

The I Want It All video in that clip definitely seems full HD and looks great. All the other clips look rather horrendous honestly. Invisible man looks horribly upscaled and the others don't look all that great either.

So I am in a bit of state of shock at the moment "Amazon" have "The Miracle Collectors Edition" priced at £149.99p for delivery on November 18th. That's is a lot more than I was expecting to pay and I don't know if I can justify paying that much. What with the cost of living, gas and electric , food etc. What are the rest of you guys thoughts on the price ?

Maybe that’s what the December 3 1987 sessions were about? All God’s People started as Africa By Night during the Barcelona sessions, and Brian was supposed to contribute guitar to that (and Freddie was to sing on Brian’s album, if I remember correctly, and I don’t know that I do) but then it evolved into All God’s People, so maybe the intent of those 1987 sessions was to do something like that but plans changed? All speculation, and I’m sure the extensive liner notes are going to be super informative, just like they have been in the past…………

If I recall correctly, the NOTW box was around £100 when released (now available for ~£60 on Amazon). The Miracle Box has more content, and things have generally gone up in price so it's kind of the price point I was expecting. It's good that they've at least given the cheaper option of a double CD, including the unreleased tracks.

It seems they have lost the video reels from Breakthru and Scandal, in any case, I have not met HD fragments in new releases. Just had a thought. I Want It All was the only video from The Miracle that was NOT filmed and edited by DoRo Productions. Maybe Queen only have the master print to I Want It All in their archives? I think they were words Rhys Thomas, that they have all the video reels except for Breakthru, Scandal and some more video clips. Unfortunately this quote died along with Queenzone..

Metallica's Black album box set has 14 CDs, multiple vinyl, multiple DVD, download links for the vinyl content, a 100+ page book and is currently selling for $200. Use that as your benchmark and this box does not look well priced. Check out the King Crimson box. Neil Young has just announced a Harvest box - either LP or CD, pick your poison. 2 CD and 2 DVD = £40

They have already changed the tracklist on queenonline, yesterday track 6 of the DVD / BD was "was it all worth it promo video" bringing to 9 the total number of tracks of the DVD / BD, today they are 8 Oh balls, I guess that means it was a classic QPL press release blunder. That’s quite a howler though! or some last-minute change like the exclusion of Houston 77 from notw's box set...

My 2 cents on the promos...
Just because they were all shot on film doesn't mean they weren't edited on PAL 625 video (in other words Standard Definition as we call it now). Then again... if they were exclusively shot AND edited on film, the master of each might be missing/disposed of and we still have only the PAL 625 video masters. Upscaled SD looks horrific - anyone else seen the Fawlty Towers blu-ray?? Faces are 'waxy' and fine detail just looks.... weird!!
So anyway... And it's all just conjecture for now.... Lets hope that indeed ALL promo film masters exist and have been scanned in HD or even 2K.

Rhys Thomas (the best thing to happen in the Queen camp but no longer involved) did say previously that he had rushes and film outtakes from lots of Queen videos in HD (he did the recut of the Barcelona promo), so what’s happened to all that material that could be used to give us some nice behind the scenes footage and proper HD videos? Hoarded again by QPL it seems.

And now they've done it again. Such a pity! The different developmental stages of this song would be interesting to hear... Though I',m not so keen on this song lyrically, I find it musically interesting: Nice rolling 6/8 rhythm like in so many Queen songs, rich arrangements and a really groovy middle section.

Thanks!!! I don't recall I've heard this version before. Sadly it ends, just when it starts to get interesting. But this really answers my question. So, we have to wait for a special edition of Innuendo if we ever want to hear this demo form The Miracle sessions.

I wasn't really looking forward to this box set, as I'm not a big fan of The Miracle album. However, even with my expectations low - I am still disappointed here. Mostly as there's no multitrack version. And although I really had no reason to expect this inclusion, I'm still let down. First Beatles say no physical Dolby Atmos disc, and now Queen.
It looks like I'm going to be spending way less this box set season. The Beatles, I will buy the new stereo mix on vinyl. Queen, since the vinyl is the one I already have from 2011, I don't need it. The only box set I'm buying is going to be Creatures of the Night by KISS, which is the same price or cheaper, yet has everything included and more.
It's a shame, as I really love shelling out my cash for Queen products, and hopefully in the future, I will be again

I did have a look at the Metallica box set, and sure, there's enough there in terms of quantity, but I did wonder how many ropey versions of Enter Sandman I actually needed, and how often I would listen to them.

I did get it - once I was spending £150, the extra £25 for a QOL exclusive seemed silly not to, just to kick myself after for not having it in my collection. I suppose that’s what they (quite literally) bank on….

The press release for The Miracle box set states: “Widely recognised as Queen’s strongest album of the 80’s” Erm…I think ‘The Game’ wants a word!!! Technically... There's no year 0. There was 1BC and then 1AD. So, the first decade after Christ has to include year 10AD (otherwise it wouldn't be a decade). Fast forward a few centuries and 1980 is the last year of the 70s. Now The Miracle has to beat only Hot Space, The Works and A Kind of Magic I do enjoy The Miracle a lot more than The Game, though.

Houston's My Melancholy Blues being included fascinates me.
It's pretty commonly agreed that QPL doesn't possess multitracks for Houston, I wonder if they will be re-releasing the mono soundboard track that came with the NOTW boxset. I personally think that they have nothing more than that in the archives. I'd love to be proven wrong.
