There was an ad on TV the other day that featured WWRY.
It turned out to be for Qatar airlines.
Which means that Brian has signed off on using Freddie's voice to support a regime that would have had him executed.
Not sure this is a good decision.... Or am I being all snowflake-y?

Brian doesn’t go through all licensing. Like Moulin Rouge used The Show Must Go On but omitted the middle eight which Brian are so emotionally proud of, so he complained it and said he had no idea who on earth license it.

Didn't reply because I didn't see it until now. I haven't seen the ad in question, but no, you aren't being a snowflake. It's a stupid move considering their regime. Also, why would you want to be "rocked" on a plane?

It would be interesting to compare publishing revenue from advert licensing to publishing revenue from actually album sales...

Honestly I hate every time they license out their songs to ads, I feel like it cheapens the music.
This is an especially egregious example though.

Same story in Italy, with a TV advertising containing bits of "A Kind of Magic".

Yeah, I've seen the ad, and was disappointed that Queen would lend their music for that - disgraceful. I'm pretty sure that's *not* what Freddie meant by "musical prostitute"...
