Thanks for this. Such a missed opportunity.
I remember playing this back in the day and had to follow the walkthrough first time around to be honest. Made massive use of savegames. It took me about a week to complete first time around and then I tackled it again a month later with no notes and battered through in a couple of hours.
Once you got used to the (absolutely 100%) crap controls, it wasn't actually that hard. The early stages involve a lot of running away from fights rather than getting involved if I remember right.
Downloaded DOSBox recently and may have another look at it in that environment if I get the chance and can work out what I need to do, even if just for old times sake.
