Hi everyone.
I conclude the year by sharing with all of you these four articles concerning the short British tour of Queen of September 1976, published in the British music magazine Record Mirror in the issues of Saturday September 11th, Saturday September 18th and Saturday September 25th, 1976.
Enjoy your reading!
1) The first is titled The Killers Fight Back: it is a review of the concert at the Playhouse Theatre in Edinburgh of September 1st, 1976, written by journalist Nigel Duncan and published on September 11th.
2) The second is titled Queen's Park Stagers and was published in the September 18th issue of the magazine. It is basically the program of the free concert in Hyde Park that same evening.
3) The third, entitled Sacked Into Stardome, also comes from the number of September 18th. In addition to talking about the concerts of Edinburgh and Cardiff, it nods again to the imminent free concert in Hyde Park; two very short interviews with Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury (held a few days before the London concert), in which the details of the new album "A Day at the Races" are revealed, were also included.
4) The fourth and final article, written by David Hancock, is titled Queen celebrated King's anniversary and is basically the (very positive) review of the Hyde Park concert, published on September 25th, 1976.
