Such exciting news, very well deserved, wonderful to see that he has been awarded it for services to both music and charity, following his tireless work with animal welfare charities, as well as setting up his Save Me Trust. Congrats Sir Brian Harold May!

When Captain Tom Moore was knighted in 2020, he became Captain Sir Tom Moore, so Brian will become Dr Sir Brian May His doctorate is certainly not trumped, what an honour is must be to have a PhD, let alone a knighthood. When people of this stature are knighted/made dames, it is ensured that their full titles are used, so from now on, his full title is: Dr Sir Brian Harold May CBE BSc PhD |

I may be mistaken but the use of the title Sir or Dr. first, could be a personal choice. We will soon find out which title is preferred.
I always wonder if Freddie would have been knighted if he was still alive.

The fact is Brian had more of an Impact as a musician than Roger. I'm a Roger fan, but that's a fact. When someone says Roger Taylor people think of Duran Duran. Everyone knows who Brian May Is. |
