My partner (whose knowledge of Queen’s music is little more than the greatest hits) is often amused when something (anything) happens and I say “Queen did a song about that…” and has started to offer scenarios to test the hypothesis that there is, indeed, a Queen song for any occasion.
Some easy examples
Your cat dies - All dead all dead
The weather is bad - Rain must fall
The weather is good - it’s a beautiful day
The answer doesn’t have to be the title, it could be a line or a musical style.
I’ll start with what’s happening over the pond from us in the UK - what Queen song could you sing/play to match the multiple votes for House speaker?
Maybe The Loser in the End?
Or Sone cold crazy?
What do you think - and what other scenarios (real or imagined) can we put Queen on the soundtrack for?
