Hi everyone.
Today I'm posting two very short articles that appeared in the British music magazine Record Mirror in the spring of 1982.
1) The first is a short article of a few lines, published in the March 27th, 1982 issue, announcing the release of the new Queen album 'Hot Space', scheduled for release in the UK for April 13th, 1982 (later moved and released on May 21st). The article also informed the readers that the concert already scheduled for Old Trafford in Manchester (May 29th) was banned by the district council due to noise and possible vandalism; the organizers of the concert tried in every way to go against this ban but, as now well known, in the end the concert was moved to Leeds.
2) The second short "article" was instead published in the May 8th, 1982 issue: it concerns the complaint of a fan, a certain Sarah Gubby of Manchester, regarding the canceled concerts at Old Trafford and at the Arsenal Stadium in London (initially scheduled for June 4th). Apparently there were substantial delays in refunding the tickets. Another fan, Terry Mungold of Ossett, shares his thoughts on Queen's latest single 'Body Language'.

One forgets how much hate Queen got back in the day: 'Odious old bores' is so harsh for a band who up to that point in their history were still willing to try new things and walk new ground. Still, talent did out; Fred was always right.
