I was just watching Chicago TV news & Wheel of Fortune ... and experienced three Queen references in about an hour:
- An ad for the QAL Oct 30th concert in Chicago.
- An Amazon ad with Cool Cat playing in the background.
- A Wheel of Fortune song title puzzle: "We Will Rock You!"
I guess Queen ain't quite dead yet in Chicago ... |

WOW, that's some free publicity for QAL! I know this will go against the majority opinion here on QC, but if they were coming to a city near me, I'd get tickets. In fact, when I heard they were coming to the US again I planned to buy tickets for my two young grandchildren to go with me. The family lived with me for a year while they were building their house and in that time I managed to turn them into little Queenies. I've posted here before that I enjoyed QAL. I did not see Queen while Freddie was alive in spite of the fact that they toured cities near me 4 times. That just wasn't the musical direction I was going at that time. So, I took advantage of the chance to see Brian and Roger and it was one of the best concerts I've seen. I'm hoping they will add dates, but not expecting that.

Not a coincidence. Wheel of Fortune is on ABC and ABC is owned by Disney. Queen's record company in the US is still Hollywood Records, which is also owned by Disney. |
