So we remember a few years ago, when the movie was about to come out and several Heathrow employees dressed up as Freddie and lip-synced to I Want to Break Free as a way to commemorate their most famous employee... but was Freddie really a baggage handler at Heathrow? I had never seen a single mention of his time at Heathrow, and I was wondering if there was any evidence to suggest that he was an employee there.

I have my doubts, Nothing was heard about this Pre-movie but i guess it's possible he did the job for a shot time while at college.
Such a weird thing for the movie to include.

I remember a story that he worked at a airport not long after he arrived in London.

Here's what I could find:
'The Bulsaras put down a deposit on a modest house in Feltham and Bomi found work as an accountant with one of the major employers in the area, the Forte catering company. Freddie, like many students, worked in the summer holidays, firstly in the kitchens at nearby Heathrow Airport, and then in a warehouse at Feltham Trading Estate. The other workers commented on his delicate hands and Freddie was soon using this perceived fragility to his own gain; he was excused most of the heavy work and they did it on his behalf. When the warehouse staff asked the college boy what his plans were for the future , Freddie told them he was to become a musician; this was the first time he had been overt about his dreams.' - Mark Hodkinson (1995). Queen: The Early Years, Omnibus Press, p.76.

Thanks Sebastian.
So it looks like he worked at Heathrow during the school holidays, in the kitchens.

Yeah - it's an obscure reference. It's well known that he ran a stall with Roger at Kensington market, so in theory they could've focused on that. But Hollywood will always go for the rags to riches story, and being a baggage handler is far lower on the totem pole than selling clothes to rock stars.

That movie was so full of bull, I'm surprised they didn't actually show Freddie selling that fur coat to Noel Fielding

Hollywood isn't in the business of making documentaries. They're in the business of creating products that will sell to as many people as possible.
