Hi everybody. Today's article is taken from the English music magazine Record Mirror, published on March 30th, 1974: written by journalist Genevieve Hall, is titled Sophisticratic Rock and talks about the new album Queen II and, in particular of a very bad review of the album that another English newspaper had not spared to publish. Sadly, I couldn't find the article referred to, but it is indicated here that Queen were compared to Merlin (a British group also featuring a young Jamie Page, later a collaborator of Brian May and Queen + Paul Rodgers decades later) and that the article came with a photo that didn't do the band justice. In these lines, the four musicians (especially the quiet Brian) express all their anger towards the press. Enjoy the reading!
