Roger advertises the WWRY musical and how good Elton is in his role. They played Cool Cat and Roger said that he Brian and Adam had talked about adding the song to their setlist. He also talked about Taylor Hawkins and the upcoming FooFighters Tour. The interview starts at about 2:06 hours into the recording. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001l4btPS: I‘m not sure, if the talk between them about adding Cool Cat his recent. I know they had this idea years ago already. Adam has had the song on his Spotify Queen Playlist for years, but they never played it.

It sounded to me like the talk was recent...wouldn't be surprised since that Amazon commercial is all over the place....would be fascinating since we have never gotten that live!

Cool Cat would be interesting to hear live, especially since Brian didn't even play on that recording and the two guys who spearheaded the track won't be onstage. I'd be interested to hear it.

Ugggh, I was afraid this would happen sooner or later - digging around for the worst of Queen's output to try and please the dance-crowd. I'd really prefer if Queen didn't go the way of Kiss, but I guess I'm a couple of decades too late for that...
I really don't understand why horrible mistakes from the early '80s need to be revived.

Cool Cat slowly becoming the new Don't Stop Me Now in terms of gaining popularity decades after its release.
I love the idea of John Deacon switching on Radio 2 and hearing the song. He'd think he was hallucinating.

It just occurred to me, that the US is always getting the deep cuts. Love Kills, It’s Late, Spread Your Wings, Machines… all were played in the US. Only. Plus some interesting cover like Heartbreak Hotel. Then there’s Japan which always gets I Was Born To Love You. Australia and New Zealand? Well, a tiny bit of I Was Born To Love You and/or the covers of Heartbreak Hotel and Whole Lotta Love has it been last time.
And then it’s us in Europe and then UK… Yeah… The biggest fanbase has to be happy with the biggest hits, right?

Is it because they played the US first, then tweaked the shows before coming to Europe and the UK? Maybe they were testing how well some of the deeper cuts were received, but then, you'd have thought they'd be better received in the UK and Europe anyway.

Yes, I agree, that the US always gets lucky, because they have always been the first, who got to see a new QAL tour. But I think it’s unfair, that they never tried these songs in other countries. OR that they didn’t try other deep cuts. I mean, they have always had enough time between their tour legs. It’s often half a year or more. They could for sure think of something new in between. Or even during a tour, like they did 2020 in Japan & Oz. In Europe last year it had been the same setlist every gig. (After they had thrown out Keep Yourself Alive on the second night (I think) and not considering the missing of Roger’s solo songs, when he had had no voice.)

Yes, I agree, that the US always gets lucky It's still Adam Lambert.... To be fair, the versions I've heard of Adam doing It's Late were far better than Freddie ever managed to sing it live.
