...and Its Unintended Consequences
I've not watched this myself yet, but thought it worthy of discussion.
How would you feel, for example, if Brian and Roger were to write and produce new music with an AI Freddie on vocals? I don't think the technology is quite there yet, but I don't see it being that far away that the rough spots are ironed out, and it will be quite hard to tell what's real and what isn't (other than the fact that the person is dead!), when it comes to replicating individual voices.
A new Beatles album? Elvis? The opportunities could be endless, but would recreating vocals from a singer no longer with us be the right thing to do?

You know, if used sparingly, when the technology is better, I wouldn't object to it being used to complete unfinished songs so long as it's made known that Ai has been used.

They could complete "Mother Love" at last. We would know it's not real, but I am fine with the idea of using AI fairly.
As for making new music... it's just not the same. Freddie is gone.

Who would the royalties go to, the original singers estate or the person who done the AI?
I agree with Golden Salmon and Brain`s wig about Freddie, finish off any demo but new songs ...no a big no.
There was talk somewhere about a Bruce Lee and other dead actors getting a film done with AI.
The tech will get better very quickly, and there has already been court cases about its use.
I am at a age where I have seen big advances, but the AI will be a nightmare for a lot of people and how long before Skynet and T-1000 makes a appearance!

And sounds... tragic. In that way they could finish many, many unfinished soungs. I don;t like it at all. It is "new music" coz it's not him anymore. She never sing these parts. |

Is this all we can think of? Bringing back dead singers, dead actors, dead novelists, dead painters? Blocking the way for new singers, actors, novelists, painters, stifling new expression.
How about looking forward? How about being creative with the tech in a way that addresses some of the issues within society, and leave art to be created by souls, not the soulless?
