In the photo on the soapbox, there are a number of guitars in a rack on the left.
The one in front of the two white strata looks like a Red Special shape, but thicker like the Rhapsody acoustic, but with a standard electric control switch set.
...or am I missing something?

The pic's too small/low-res to see the guitar in detail, but it looks like a plain Red Special replica, with Brian's default 6 switches. It looks just as thick as the weird Strat-alike guitars, and significantly thinner than acoustic guitar in front of it. --- And bets are now open. Will THIS project see the light of day or will it be like the Iommi/May collaboration Album: either never happened or buried away in a vault somewhere. My money's on..... I wonder if Brian was just visiting and the documentary remark was just a joke. Tony's Instagram post about their meeting was just about catching up with an old friend. http://instagr.am/p/CsV556QuYyq It's been years since they mentioned recording together and we never heard anything from it again. I suppose back in the day they were only swapping riffs and solos and perhaps one of them recorded it, but I guess there's never been a proper album. It looks like the Queen fandom isn't alone in dreaming about it, though - I've seen not only Black Sabbath but rock/metal fans in general excited about Brian's and Tony's friendship before, and even music journalists here in Brazil expecting them to release something together someday. |

They probably can't do shit with each other's guitars I'm a lefty and I play right handed guitars exclusively. If you're used to a left handed one chords will be an issue, but you should be able to get the hang of double stops and the likes fairly quickly, especially if you're a seasoned hand. Single-note lines shouldn't take too much adjustment. |
