In little more than two weeks, this is fantastic! It seems the lockdown has produced a captive audience! 😄

Again, huge thanks to Brenski and Steve for getting this off the ground, for all the other mods who make sure it runs as it should and for all the contributors who have made this immeasurably better than QZ.
It really is a monumental breath of fresh air, after what went before.

Most importantly, this board has the potential to encourage so many fans to finally join and discuss Queen. QZ was (note that I use the past tense) like a decaying pub with broken stools, sticky floor, rude barflies and uncaring owners. Comparisons are ugly, but it's like this:
- Modern board with today's tech VS Geocities-era site with Netscape featureset. - Forum tools that work VS outdated and broken basics since forever. - New members are real people VS the occasional fan among all the bots and scammers. - Moderators and admins who visit daily and clean the house VS f*ck-all, the land of the troll.
I mean, if you look at the introductions thread, there are people who say that they were only lurkers at QZ. They probably never got enough motivation to join and share their enjoyment with other fans because frankly, there were so many wrong aspects with the board. I'm glad to see we have lept forward to never look back.

I'm glad to see we have lept forward to never look back. You could say that Richard's little Orchard has been overrun with weeds. The gardener forgot to tend to his garden, and now it's littered with dead leaves, weeds (and not my favorite kind) and thorns, and the gate's hanging from its hinges now so anyone could come in and wreak havoc. That's my analogy for QZ, that and it reminding me of my office too lol. Now here we are in our own little Garden Lodge, full of life and people (sounds like a nice little party at Freddie's) Also, Netscape?! I always wonder why it's so easy to load QZ in places where the internet's crap. That explains everything

It has all the positives of Queenzone with none of the drawbacks (which eventually outweighed the positives). And like a real life community, the town was given a facelift. Buildings were repaired, the lane markings on the street have been re-painted, the restaurants are better, the street gang has been broken up, and police officers are actually available if you need them.
