The official announcement of the re-release of the complete series of Queen albums on vinyl for the Italian market was made a few days ago; in 2018, DeAgostini had launched the 'Queen - The Vinyl Collection' series, 25 releases that included all the band's studio albums, the official live ones except 'Live Magic' ('Live Killers', Wembley, Bowl, Montreal, Rainbow and Hammersmith), the three 'Greatest Hits' and the album 'On Air' with the BBC recordings. In the same year, DeAgostini had also launched the same series in Japan and Poland (later interrupted after four), and then replicated in 2019 in Spain, in 2020 in Germany and the UK (both interrupted) and in 2022 in Chile (completed on 23rd January 2023) and Argentina (still ongoing).
The new series, called 'Queen in Vinile', will be distributed as a supplement to the Italian sports magazine La Gazzetta dello Sport and with the newspaper Il Corriere della Sera; it will include the same 25 releases already released in 2018 plus the double album 'Bohemian Rhapsody', official soundtrack of the biopic. The latter will be the first issue and will be available in Italian newsstands from 22nd August 2023; each issue will be released every two weeks and the series will end in 2024.
Here the official announcement: store.gazzetta.it/musica/queen-in-vinile/96QKEgLWtd8AAAGJ9eYyi4xZ/ct
Here's the translation of the announcement:
QUEEN ON VINYL 33 rpm of pure rock. Queen's unforgettable rock is back on vinyl with the complete discography in the original version.
From "News Of The World" with masterpieces such as "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions", passing through "The Works" with the immortal "Radio Ga Ga" and "I Want To Break Free".
In addition, for the first time on newsstands, the 33 rpm of the soundtrack of "Bohemian Rhapsody", the most successful Oscar-winning biopic of recent years.
A timeless tribute to Queen and Freddie Mercury, iconic protagonists of the history of music.
The series consists of 26 issues.

Any reason why the pricing is not consistent? Usually with this type of things you would get a super low price for the first item (the "bait" - I would have guessed GH1, but yeah, the movie soundtrack is probably fresher in the mind of the general public), and then all the other items at 3x the price of the first...
Maybe it's a matter of scarcity in the Italian market? I can imagine Innuendo vinyls are probably rarer than ANATO ones...

Maybe it's a matter of scarcity in the Italian market? I can imagine Innuendo vinyls are probably rarer than ANATO ones... I bought some of the vinyl LPs made by DeAgostini in 2018, especially the live albums (Wembley was released for the very first time on triple vinyl by the way); a good chance to have the most recent Queen official releases in my collection at a reasonable price - the quality sound is wonderful. I remember that the first issue was sold for 9,90 euros; subsequent issues were priced 14,99 euros (single LP), 24,99 euros (double LPs) and 29,99 euros (triple LPs).
What a pity that these series omitted 'Live Magic', but also 'Queen Rocks'; it would be nice to re-release that compilation after 26 years and make it available at a more affordable price than the original 1997 double LP (especially the one with the alternate front cover).
But we will have another reissue of 'Greatest Hits'!

I'm a 23 y.o. Italian guy. In 2018 i was an high school student, i didn't work yet and i missed this collection because I didn't expect quality of this collection or the including of On Air. I regretted I missed rainbow, wembley, bowl... On ebay or vinted they were sold at very high prices. so now i'm very excited to have a good chance to have in my collection at a reasonable price rainbow, on air and latest queen releases...
What Do you think about the 2018 issue? Does deagostini make high quality vinyl? Sound good? Hope so.

It is important to underline that the vinyls in question are not made by DeAgostini, but sold by it under license from the record label; it had already happened in 2017 when DeAgostini launched the same type of series for The Beatles' albums (unlike those of Queen, those releases had the catalog number).
However, the sound quality is excellent and it is the same remastering present in the 2015 'Studio Collection' box set; for the live performances, not present in that box set, the mixes are however recent and excellent.

It's actually normal for things like this sold in newsstands (In Italy) to start cheap and then get expensive. That was actually my point, I was surprised that this time there is no cheap start (the BoRhap soundtrack is sold for €20.99, the same as AKOM, ANATO, etc.), and there are what seemed to me "random" fluctuations (some albums go for €20.99, others for €27.99). fabiogminero clarified this is due to the fact some are double or triple LPs! That had totally escaped my mind, lol. What Do you think about the 2018 issue? Does deagostini make high quality vinyl? Sound good? Hope so. fabiogminero said above that the 2018 DeAgostini release was good quality!

Great, at last Queen fans can get their discography on vinyl!!! I started to collect vinyls in 2015 at age 22 and, of course, Queen vinyls were the first ones I looked for in shops, stalls and flea markets. I had the intention of collecting only Italian pressings (possibly first pressings), a little whim of mine...the first one I found and bought in April 2015 (I still remember that I spent 15 euros) was 'The Miracle', Italian pressing from 1989 complete with inner sleeve (not so obvious in the stalls!). As time went on, the others arrived and all in good (if not excellent) condition. I completed my studio album collection in 2017 with 'Made In Heaven', a 1995 UK copy on white vinyl (it was not released on vinyl in Italy). After the release of the biopic in 2018, and as the years progressed, the prices of Queen's original vinyls have skyrocketed; not so long ago, I saw a 1991 Italian copy of 'Innuendo' in a flea market, in very good condition like the one I purchased in October 2016... I paid 20 euros for it and now I've seen it for 75 euros.
So yes, these newsstands series are a good way to have a complete and high quality sound collection...among other things, the DeAgostini reissues are practically identical to those sold online on the band's official website.

I read online that Italian DeAgostini vinyl releases are very good for the price you're paying, I hope they maintain the same quality again. I'm afraid I will skip this collection since it will cost me an absurd amount of price, despite it's tempting me very much! I hope they'll also reissue the Queen CD collection, I have the old one without the BBC sessions and 70s live album and 10€/15€ for a maxi digipak CD is a bargain price.

Is there any way to order these from the Netherlands? From the FAQ: so unfortunately no, international shipping is not available. The only workaround I can think of is using someone based in Italy as a middleman. In the past I've heard of websites that let you "rent" a shipping address abroad to circumvent shipping restrictions and then send the stuff your way, but I have no idea if there is anything like that for Italy.

Or maybe there is an Italian fan here, offering to help out a Dutch one? All expenses compensated, ofcourse. PM me, if you’re willing to help. Thanks! I went today and bought Bohemian Rhapsody. Me too. It will be the only release I buy, because I already have all the other albums in original editions (and a couple of reissues from the 1980s) of the time + some releases from the previous DeAgostini series.
The vinyl is absolutely identical to the first edition of February 2019; the only difference is that these new reissues (just like the 2018-19 DeAgostini ones) do not have the catalogue number. Also, the Virgin EMI Records logo no longer appears, just the EMI logo.

I'm listening quite now the new Live at the bowl vinyl from this collection. On the Guitar Solo there's no cut at Brian Technical problem like on CD. The audio is without cut just like the DVD.
The audio has been mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road but I'm not sure about the source of the master since it never came out on LP. Anyone knows anything?

It was released in 2005 triple LP was sold by QOL store, my vinyl is far from me, so I can't tell about the mastered and the cut. The vinyl was great quality but the sleeve was poor. Since then all the forthcoming LP released in Boxsets with quality sleeve. Probably the master was done by Kris or Joshua.
