Hi everyone.
Since today is the 72nd birthday of our beloved John Richard Deacon, below I propose a nice article dating back to 1985; it is an interview with John and Henry Crallan, founders of Milo Music, a recording studio in Hoxton, east London. Crallan, in addition to being a sound engineer, had worked with Edwin Shirley, the trucking company that had transported Queen's massive equipment on various world tours (including South America and Mexico in 1981); Crallan is in fact mentioned in the liner notes of some Queen live albums, such as 'Live Killers', 'Live Magic' and 'Live at Wembley '86'. John and Henry started the project in 1983 and founded the studio the following year; this interview goes into detail about the reasons that led the two to complete this project and informs about the equipment of the studio.
Note: the recording studio, now called Miloco Studios (born in 2000 from the merger of Milo Studios and Orinoco Studios), is still in business and is a big company currently boasting numerous other locations around the world; many fampous producers had worked for it, like Hugh Padgham and Paul Epworth. However, John Deacon is no longer involved in the project, as he lost interest at the end of the 1980s; Henry Crallan continued to manage the company for many more years and also became keyboardist in Elton John's live band in 2006, before retiring in 2013; he died in 2015 at the age of 75.
Further information about the studio and the company can be found here: milocostudios.com/about/
Enjoy the reading!

Fascinating! Didn't John remix the single version of I Want To Break Free at Milo?

Fascinating! Didn't John remix the single version of I Want To Break Free at Milo? I seem to recall that it was one of the first jobs John did in the new studio.

I found another short article on the Milo Music (edited by Steven Dupler), published in Billboard magazine on 3rd August 1985. Below is the scan with details on the studio's equipment.
