U2 just started their 25 date recidency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
It looks absolutely stunning. How cool would a Q+AL gig be in that thing? So many visual opportunities. For one, i think Frank breaking through the roof would fucking spectacular.
What would you like to see?

Well, they're building a sphere in London so you never know...

Not sure that QAL are the residency type. Although I'm surprised that U2 are doing it. I guess it is less tiring but I think Queen like the variety of venues

They could do Breakthru on a simulated grassy field with the Miracle Express chugging along in the background

I guess it is less tiring but I think Queen like the variety of venues Personally, I don’t like residencies, least of all in Las Vegas. But this is mainly because it’s so far away from where 8 live, that I can’t attend a show there. Roger and especially Brian have said that they like the idea of a residency. They essentially did exactly that last year with their 10 shows in the O2 in London and also in 2018 in Las Vegas. Brian said in a very recent interview that this upcoming tour will be hard for him, because he no longer wants to leave his home for a longer amount of time. He has so many things he wants to do at home and he feels that a tour is keeping him away from that. It’s becoming harder, because he doesn’t know, how much time he has left. I took away from this interview, that the US tour will be Q+AL‘s last. Maybe Brian could be persuaded to do another European tour, if he feels like it. But other than that, they will more likely do either residencies or short tours with a handful of dates. Just like they‘re going to do in Japan in February.

Assuming health allows, I can't see them calling it a day without some final shows in the UK. Here, after all, is where it all started. And if they're going to the trouble of reworking the stage set, I can't imagine them not wanting to extend the tour. I know they've got to stop sometime, but they might as well do one more time around, while they can, and a 'residency' at the O2 would save a lot of travelling.

With last tour I was only referring to North America. If health allows they will play Europe and especially the UK again and at last. With the other places like NZ, Australia or even South America strewn in? Or even a little Vegas residency. Just no more 2 month long tours.

They could decide to do a number of residencies around European capitals or the biggest arena each country has. Having said that they’ve definitely taken the touring route around the US and Japan. The other thing to remember is that last time the O2 wasn’t the only UK venue they played.

The other thing to remember is that last time the O2 wasn’t the only UK venue they played. But that’s essentially what they have been doing. Only that these „residencies“ only lasted 1-2 nights. But I think Germany had been the only country, where they played in more than 1 city. Apart from the UK of course. In all the other countries they played one of the biggest arenas 1-2 times.

It's really awesome. This was designed for musical performances and cinematography from the ground up, and it shows immediately. It's a paradigm shift, long overdue. I welcome the departure from sports event venues or smaller theaters. Just curious, how much are the U2 tickets? For one, i think Frank breaking through the roof would fucking spectacular. Now that's an awesome idea! Well, they're building a sphere in London so you never know... How is that coming along? Did they start already?

If it happens, I don't expect it to exist for several years. I really doubt that QAL will still be an active live act by the time it will be ready.

From what I've seen of U2 show, I didn't think any concert would work in that venue - it's too disproportionate, the performers are just too small.
However, the above suggestion of a Frank robot appearing to break through with a hand coming down, well animated, would be a fantastic moment.
Not sure sitting through 2 and a half hours of Lambert shrieking for $200 would make that worthwhile
