This was so difficult to do. I've omitted some of the usual suspects that I'm completely bored of hearing live and I've also omitted one of my absolute favorite Queen tracks (the show must go on) because I don't think it works particularly well live. Anyway, here goes...
Tie your mother down We will rock you (fast) Hammer to fall Let me entertain you
* Medley* Tear it up Seven seas of rhye Keep yourself alive Liar
Play the game I'm in love with my car In the lap of the gods (revisited) Get down make love Dragon attack Headlong I Want it all
*B stage* I'm going slightly mad Spread your wings A winter's tale Under pressure
Somebody to love Who wants to live forever Breakthru Fat bottomed girls Bohemian rhapsody
*Encore* Innuendo Sheer heart attack We will rock you We are the champions

This was harder than I imagined but I think I'm quite happy with this (probably for like 5 hours). I first made a longer version but realised that 2½ hours are unrealistic for Queen (well QAL sometimes play that long, but with Freddie I doubt they would reach that time frequently), so I cut it down and ended up with a setlist closer to 2 hours (with a very conservative 6 minutes for the drum/guitar solo). I originally had Doing All Right, a full Innuendo and an extended acoustic set, but I removed those to make it shorter.
Setlist: 1. Innuendo (Orchestral Intro) [tape] 2. Now I'm Here 3. We Will Rock You (Fast) 4. Stone Cold Crazy 5. White Queen
Medley 6. Mustapha 7. Death On Two Legs 8. Killer Queen 9. I'm In Love With My Car
10. Dragon Attack 11. Another One Bites The Dust 12. Who Wants To Live Forever 13. Spread Your Wings 14. It's Late 15. I Want It All
Acoustic 16. Love Of My Life 17. '39 18. Imagine
19. Keep Yourself Alive 20. Drum/Guitar Solo 21. Liar 22. Fat Bottomed Girls 23. Radio Ga Ga 24. A Kind Of Magic 25. Bohemian Rhapsody 26. Tie Your Mother Down
Encore 27. The Show Must Go On
Encore 28. We Will Rock You 29. We Are The Champions 30. God Save The Queen [tape]

Can you imagine the furore if they didn't play WWRY/WATC? It's one of those 'contractual obligations' bands have to play certain songs, such as Smoke On The Water for Deep Purple, and Paranoid, for Black Sabbath. Yes, they can't stop doing them now beacause they've ended just about every gig with WWRY/WATC since '77. And, of course they are a great pair to close the show with. No one can deny that! BUT I do think they could have made that choise in the 80's. They had the hits to choose from (There were actually quite a few hits that were not played 82-86 such as Best Friend, DSMN, Bicycle Race... even really big hits such as Somebody To Love and Killer Queen were dropped for the Magic Tour. So, they could have changed the set even more, and just say: "Hey, we have a new clapping song (Radio Gaga) and a new sing-a-long-piece with a theme that makes everyone feel united and happy (Friends Will Be Friends). Let's try how they work as a finale." It probably wouldn't have been as effective as WWRY/WATC, but my point is: they could have at least tried new thing. Unfortunately they never did, and instead used the same formula over and over again. For a band that was always reaching for new grounds in their music and "never did the same thing twice", their live shows were quite safe, and lots of songs had permamnent places in the set.
Also, I think BoRhap is the "contractual oblication" for them. Maybe WWRY/WATC as well, but I think they made those two songs obligatory by playing them as a grande finale for many years. The same goes for LOML. It worked so well with Freddie commanding the audience that they just had to do that again, and again, and again... And they still do it even today. So, in a way, they crerated a monster that was so strong that they couldn't kill it.
Oh, and by the way, I think one of the best decisions they made was to add FWBF in between the WWRY/WATC for the Magic Tour. It showed that they could break their own rules. Maybe they could have killed the monster after all, if only Freddie had had more time and tours with them.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love 29. We Will Rock You 30. The Show Must Go On 31. We Are The Champions I like that, except I don't think they would play The Miracle twice. Woops! 2nd miracle was my last addition. I want it all should have replace the 1st one.

These games are always fun, aren't they? Now, here is the set list I came up with.
Breakthru Intro (tape) We Will Rock You (fast) Tie Your Mother Down I Want To Break Free Medley (~In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited ~Seven Seas Of Rhye ~Keep Yourself Alive ~Stone Cold Crazy ~Another One Bites The Dust) Heaven For Everyone / Days Of Our Lives I Want It All Now I'm Here Dragon Attack Now I'm Here (reprise) Too Much Love Will Kill You (acoustic) Love Of My Life 39 Guitar Solo Under Pressure A Kind Of Magic Radio Ga Ga Crazy Little Thing Called Love [ENCORE] Bohemian Rhapsody (ballade) The Miracle We Will Rock You We Are The Champions God Save The Queen
Opening with the intro to Breakthru (the When Love Breaks Up part), followed by "final, breakthru..... .NOW!!!" shouts before transitioning to WWRY.
In Heaven For Everyone, I am assuming that after the second chorus is sung, the song will transition from the guitar solo part to Days Of Our Lives. Since the key and beat are the same, I am sure it will work.

Heaven For Everyone is a good shout. Do we know if Roger ever played his version live? He played it quite a bit with The Cross, but I think he never did it on his solo tours. The Marquee X-mas show '92 (the same gig when The Smile reunion happened) is maybe be the best sounding live version out there...

My dream setlist basically happened: queenlive.ca/queen/77-11-23.htmReplace the long solos with another track or two from Queen II and you'd have perfection.

But the Philly tape is far from great - there's a much better sounding one from Toronto a couple nights earlier with almost the same setlist.
