I know this is a random one but it really pisses me off. Just listening to a few of the USA 2023 gigs and why o why do people talk all the way through every song!!! I thought the idea of a gig was to go and listen. I know audience tapes pick up everything around but some people dont listen to anything. Adam belting out WWTLF and you have a chat thru it. Any chatters out there like to comment?

Also annoying is the individuals that hold up phones all the way through a concert, sometimes obscuring the view of the people behind. I know people like to video shows, but I prefer to watch the actual performance on the stage, not through a 6 inch screen. And don't get me started on those who insist on making everyone move to let them in and out of their seats to get drinks, and subsequently make multiple toilet visits.

I‘ve never experienced this. But from my observation it’s probably a cultural thing. In the USA people seem to do that much more. Like they go to a soccer match to have a nice picnic with the family, while watching. The way fans in Europe support a sports match or a concert is from my point of view often different from how American fans are used to do it.

It's probably the same people who clap at movies. Or maybe not, and it's just people who aren't actual fans and are there for the sake of it, not caring about those genuinely enjoying the show. Perhaps they're more noticeable now than years ago.
Also, phones have been a problem for event goers for a while. I get wanting to record a gig, but at the movies... if you're bored, just leave instead of distracting everyone with your max brightness screen every 5 minutes. I've seen someone take a non-urgent call in the theatre, FFS. This is less offending outdoors, but attention spans are so low for some people, and they are always inconsiderate towards those who want to absorb the experience.

This was a big problem for me at MSG the first night last month. The girl next to me was from Cincinnati and seemed to think she was at a bachelorette party. She left five!!! times during the show to get drinks... in and out, in and out. Twerked thru all the fast songs and talked thru all the slow songs. And these were floor seats, they weren't cheap! Finally at the end of the night she was so drunk and was flail-dancing so much she actually punched me in the face and I snapped and made her cry. The people behind me were talking a lot too and I just dont understand why you'd spend $X00 for multiple floor seats if youre not actually that interested. I know Middle America is there for BoRhap and DSMN but jesus. Believe it or not, another few places I've had severe issues with this is James Taylor concerts. I always manage to sit in front of the drunk chatty Baby Boomers who might as well have just stayed home and played Fire and Rain on their CD player.

I‘ve haven‘t experienced drunk people at a concert for a long time. Drinks in these arenas are much too expensive. Also at QAL concerts I hardly see anybody leaving their seats. I remember a review from Berlin 2015, where the stuff at the arena „complained“ that hardly anyone came to fetch a drink during the concert. They had rarely ever experienced that. But last week in Atlanta Brian shouted at a group of drunk woman close to the B-stage to shut up. Twice. That seems to be more and more of a problem.

Interesting comments, I must admit as an earlier posted suggested it is more of a USA thing of having a chat, also its sounds mostly the girls. As someone else says if you are not interested dont go!! A lot of the chat on some recordings is so clear, its not even about the show!!

i think there's an "entitlement" issue here - and it's a reflection of the times in which we live. some folk have no consideration for others at all.
it's not just concerts, take pubs for example - parents letting their kids run wild and not being the slightest bit concerned that other people at the same pub might like to enjoy their day out without the impact of kids running around, screaming and generally laying waste to everything in their path.
Then there's the clearly marked "non-smoking" and "smoking" areas outside my local shopping centre. Rather than walk an extra 10 metres to smoke in the designated area, the exit doorways are surrounded by groups smoking and covering the hair/clothing of those leaving the centre with the crap they've just emitted. And don't get me started on vaping - these people are so inconsiderate. Why should I be forced to inhale the second-hand cherry-infused crap that you've just expelled, just because i happen to be behind you in a crowd of people? FFS - have a look around you before exhaling that sh*t!
Last year on a holiday, one mother refused to remove her ultra-feral kids from an Adult-Only Pool at the hotel, basically telling the manager that her kids can go/do whatever they please and that the hotel had no right to confine her and her kids to the Family Swimming Pool. She refused to move and the manager backed down to avoid further confrontation. Within around half-hr that family had the Adult Pool almost entirely to themselves as steadily, the grown-ups (who were there for a quiet afternoon in the sun) wandered off to find somewhere else to enjoy some peace and quiet. I'll wager it never even occurred to her that folk were removing themselves from her orbit because of her and her family. This was an expensive holiday, but as someone with a great deal more eloquence than myself once said: “You may be rich enough to buy comfort and luxuries, but the same money doesn’t define class or give you the ability to purchase it."
Weird how the world has (with this new millennium) turned on its moral axis: there is no more social etiquette, mutual respect or consideration - the wishes of the few now far outweigh those of the many.

I have to admit, yes it can be inconsiderate to others who are listening but its more why are you not listening to the music, I wonder if its a new breed of fan who are more interested in Adam and not Queen, great that they are coming and hopefully getting into Queen, but maybe the music is not what they are there for. Adam certainly has a huge following of his own and they seem to be going to see the shows on a regular basis but maybe not for Queen. Any Adam fans care to comment , would be interested on their take.

They’re certainly not the ones chatting, while he’s singing the ballads like WWTLF or ITTWWC. Adam‘s fans want to hear Adam sing, it makes no sense for them to talk while he’s doing so.

Adam‘s fans want to hear Adam sing, it makes no sense for them to talk while he’s doing so. sorry, but you can't generalise like that. 1. it's not a one-size-fits all, is it? no one artist has perfectly-behaved fans. AL is no different in that regard and you do wrong to imply otherwise. 2. nobody is going to openly admit to something like that on a public forum, are they? what kind of idiot would actually openly admit: "oh yes, it was me talking all the way through the gig about what i was having for tea tomorrow" - they might be inconsiderate enough to ruin the experience for others in the first place, but they're not stupid enough to ostracise themselves voluntarily by fessing up. i would venture that this is something of a 2nd-Millennium rock n roll concert disease. attention spans aren't what they used to be, are they? social media and electronic devices are the very life-support for some folks. you certainly wouldn't have folk talking through operas at Covent Garden, La Scala, NY Met or Vienna State, and I'm pretty sure nobody talks their way through Shakespeare at the RSC. any that do, quite likely only do it ONCE - and very briefly.

They ALWAYS sit either behind or in front of someone who's taping the shows. Pisses me off no end.

The music is just not as loud anymore. You can chat. I've thought that at concerts but thought it was my hearing! I wonder if it's just a better sound quality now? I remember going to concerts in the 80s, and being practically deaf for two to three days afterwards. Doesn't happen now.

But it’s still too loud to chat for me personally. When I wanted to tell my friend something during a QAL concert I had to shout into her ear.

Took my wife to see Mrs Brown`s Boys at the Metro arena one year. I could hardly hear it! Got to be thankful for small mercies some times😂 So it must be the venue(s) reducing the sound volume.

That's one TV show that's more than outstayed it's welcome. That said, it must be good for the environment as everything is recycled. 🙄

I remember going to concerts in the 80s, and being practically deaf for two to three days afterwards. Doesn't happen now. That's the way it is now. I spent years working as a touring live sound engineer and the amount of regulations that are in place now regarding noise restrictions is shocking. Glastonbury is the biggest offender for it, you could comfortably have a conversation at the Pyramid stage, the music is almost like a background noise. I yearn for the days when bands and sound engineers were allowed to turn it up, but alas, they're gone. I'm only 40 by the way so it's not like I'm even talking about the 1970's!

Got to feel sorry for the new generation of concert goers. At least back in the 70 & 80`s if you stood anywhere near a speaker you got your hair dried free. Now it wouldn`t even blow one hair out of place on your well cofficured hairstyle. 😄

They did it right.
