Did Brian ever play Good Company live again after this? I've only found this one and an alternate angle of the same performance. It's a fun but pretty sloppy performance, would like to see a tighter rendition if it exists.
(I know about the 2005 classic albums performance, but I don't count it as live)

This performance is from Portsmouth on 2012/11/16 and according to queenconcerts.com he performed it again two shows later in High Wycombe on 2012/11/19. On that website is a link to a YouTube video, which is blocked unfortunately

What a revelation ! I had no idea Brian performed this song again. And faultless performance that is. Thanks for the link.

That first version was imperfect but special, but this version is perfect and very special. The performance starts at about 26:30.

(I know about the 2005 classic albums performance, but I don't count it as live) I thought that read Classic Albums Live for a moment, so I hereby present my shameless plug: I cannot possibly tell you how much work it was to get this arrangement together. I sent it to Brian, and much to my relief, he loved it. < / end hijack > I only saved the Portsmouth videos from 2012, I'm afraid.

My god, that's wonderful. He doesn't revisit his deep cuts too often, so when he does it's mighty special. Any chance someone could somehow save this for posterity ?

Brian indeed played Good Company on November 17, 2012 in Salisbury. For me an absolute highlight of the show.

Especially impressed with the drummer, I know that song like the back of my hand, and it's almost entirely faithful to the record. (missing the bit of cowbell though!) Major props. Did you keep footage of the rest of the show? Did you take down the guitar parts as sheet music? I've been wanting to arrange Good Company for real orchestral instruments for myself and some friends to play; that would be a big help if you've still got it. (Though, it was 18 years ago, so I wouldn't blame you if it's slipped away.)

(Though, it was 18 years ago, so I wouldn't blame you if it's slipped away.) We did film the whole show for internal purposes - I'd have to ask for permission to let more of it out. In the second set we did Brighton Rock, with two of us guitarists doing the call/response thing (I was the latter). I transcribed the parts from the 2005 ANATO documentary. That bit where Brian is sitting at the board and has muted every fader apart from the trumpet/trombone/clarinet is absolute gold. There would otherwise be no way to have heard those parts clearly (every transcription out there at the time wasn't even close). Needless to say, the arrangement is utter genius. The tour was in the prehistoric times of 2013. The charts I did are guitar tablature, and I should still have them somewhere if I dig deep ! Drop me a PM.

Brilliant - thanks a ton. But I'm having trouble saving the file, as the server is slow and the download only gets about 3/4 the way through before timing out. Did you or someone else manage to save it, and could you please post a mega/wetransfer link to it ?
