I recall hearing over 40 years ago that Groucho suggested that Queen name their next album "the greatest hits of the rolling stones" or something like that.

So they met Groucho Marx in 1976 already? First time I'm hearing this. That’s exactly what I was going to ask – we know about their meeting in March 1977, when he sang them a few of his songs and they sang ‘39, but it’s interesting they met him in 1976 and even told him the name of the new album, when they weren’t even sure what it was going to be called until late in the sessions (at least that’s the impression I’ve gotten from contemporary articles).

In 1976 they were in the States between January and March, and if Groucho lived in L.A. area, they met in March 1976. If this is true that would mean they had the title of the album many months before they began recording it. The photos of the meeting we've seen are surely from 1977, as the band are holding the disc award for ADATR.
