I’m sure many of you have heard the name Pete Melandrone, he is Brian’s long time guitar tech and assistant.
Pete recently suffered a brain injury as the result of an accident. He is now recovering at home after a stay in hospital.
I just wanted to let you guys know and wish Pete all the best for a speedy recovery.

I wish him all the best. I don't fully understand the technical aspects, but he has an important role as Brian's guitar tech, including triggering pedals and other effects during the gigs.
I really wish he gets well soon.
Cheers,

Maybe we should spell his name correctly then...
Malandrone
Maybe a mod would edit the title?

I've seen a few videos on Youtube of Pete explaining how he does things on tour and how he looks after Brian and his Guitars making sure everything goes smoothly. I'm not a guitar person but it was very interesting and Pete is a very knowledgeable person. Speedy recovery Pete!

I wish him all the best. I don't fully understand the technical aspects, but he has an important role as Brian's guitar tech, including triggering pedals and other effects during the gigs. Plus maintaining every piece of gear Brian uses. Your tech is a member of the family, as they take care of your entire rig. Guitars, pedals, amps, rackmounts, wireless pack, everything. They're constantly trying to find new and creative ways to preemptively solve problems before they even happen - it's a massive job requiring not only technical know-how, but creativity. To think this is his first and only job as a guitar tech. Typically guys work their way up the ranks, but Pete was world class without the requisite experience. And he's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

He did some work at Brian’s home during which he was asked to have a look at something in Brian’s studio. One thing led to another, he got on with Brian and his staff and had an interest in guitars. Over the course of a couple of months he was asked to assist Brian with his equipment and then at a live event (not a Queen tour) from that point on he officially became Brian’s guitar tech.

I remember a very funny sketch Pete did for the Fam Club magazine of how Brian's tech worked. Along with be-clogged, curly haired stickman of Brian!
