Looking at photos of Queen live on stage what era represents the band best of all for you.
Not taking into account set lists or how well the band was playing or Freddie was singing. Purely on a visual basis what year/years says Queen to you.

It's got to be The Game tour for me. For that stretch of time, they truly were the biggest band in the world. The particular looks I think of are Brian in his spiderweb vest, John in the long red pants and Freddie in either his red tie, red pants and blue knee pads combo, or the short shorts and Flash shirt.

Visually, I always prefered Freddie's look with beard from The Miracle era, especially when I was not aware that something bad was happening. Era around 1979-1980 came second evry closely to me... I couldn't stand moustaches and early 80s outfits (or Roger's hair during 1984-86), so that would be least popular era for me :-)

1973-1979 for me. Liked all of the looks, although my deepest bond is the Live Killers look as that’s when I first saw them live.
I have no love for the yellow jacket/moustache look (and for that matter any moustache look) as that seems to be what the majority identify the band with and they were a completely different animal by then (and not one I favour). Appreciate that isn’t quite what was asked. sorry….not sorry

I've always thought the Jazz tour was where the band looked the most sensational along with the stage and lighting rig. VERY close second is the ADATR/NOTW tours.

1985/86. Because I was just old enough to get to know the music and band then as a young kid.

Queen the early years : 73-78. I started listening to Queen in 1974 when my aunt T. loaned me her Queen 1 & 2 albums and I fell in love! For my Christmas gift in 1977 she took me to see Queen at the Stadium in Chicago. T. was dating a guy in a local band called "Off Broadway" and he had connections so we were in the "press area" in front of the stage by Brian May. Of course Freddie covered the entire stage. The songs they played were amazing! All of my favorites: Prophets Song, Somebody to Love, Ogre Battle, Liar.. It was quite a variety of sound and songs I think their sound changed a bit and became more "pop" than their early hard rock sound but they still were one of the best bands of out time.

I have no love for the yellow jacket/moustache look (and for that matter any moustache look) as that seems to be what the majority identify the band with and they were a completely different animal by then (and not one I favour). This. It annoys me that the yellow-jacket/moustached Freddie is really all the general public know of 'live Queen'. The Magic tour represented less than 4% of Queen's total live performances and for me was nowhere near as good as what came before it.
