Hi everyone.
Below I post an extract from the American music magazine Record World from 29th November 1980: Queen appear on the cover (in a splendid photo taken by Neal Preston during the American tour of 'The Game') and their new single 'Need Your Loving' Tonight' (released by Elektra on 18th November) is featured on the front page.
A little further on in the newspaper there is an article entitled Queen's Multi-Faceted Success, which talks about the immense success of the single 'Another One Bites The Dust' (No. 1 in the Singles Chart and the Black Oriented Singles Chart) and the fact that it was chosen by the Detroit Lions as their anthem (and shortly later also by other sports teams). Weird Al Yankovich's parody, 'Another One Rides The Bus', which became equally popular, is also mentioned.
Some interesting facts can be read in the last lines of the article: it is reported that Roger Taylor is working on his solo album (already titled 'Fun In Space'), that Freddie Mercury has refused acting roles in some films and that John Deacon is producing some sessions for English singer Chris Rea (probably something that wasn't included on his 1981 album 'Chris Rea'). Enjoy the reading!
