If I had Brian's money I'd also be traveling around the world on a private jet.

Of course they left out the part where he mentions they work to offset their carbon footprint when they book those flights. Besides, how often do they tour? He's not taking it to the McDonalds down the street.

I love our good doctor and don't want to be that type who mindlessly spews around critique without any merit.... but there has been few cases when the so-called "elites/billionaires" (Bill Gates, most prominent World Economic Forum members) and also celebrities were very vocal about radical lifestyle change for the sake of being as ecological as one can be when they themselves use their own private jets as their exclusive taxi. The most notable case in that matter have been made against Leo DiCaprio and recently - Taylor Swift.

While I don’t necessarily disagree, do we expect some of the most famous and recognizable people on earth — especially Taylor Swift, perhaps THE most famous and recognizable person on earth at the moment — to fly commercial? That would be a massive security issue. I’m not saying the earth should be destroyed because of that, but there are valid reasons, and if they’re doing other things to offset their carbon footprint, I think their personal safety SHOULD be considered.

When very famous people travel commercial they usually book out an entire first class cabin on a plane so it's just them and their entourage.

I was once on a flight with Robbie Williams, who I presume counts as "very famous"?
He flew commercial, and booked two first class seats (for him and his wife) and about 10 premium economy (for kids, nanny, mother in law, some business manager and presumably the dog crate). The only "buffer zone" between him and the hoi polloi was that the first class bar wasn't available to Premium Economy, although that wasn't announced. it was just managed by the cabin crew, who delivered drinks instead.

If I had Brian's money I'd also be traveling around the world on a private jet. If I had Brian's money, I wouldn't give the Daily Mail the time of day, the hypocritical twats. In fact, I've made a start by actively avoiding it for years.

Calling this out as "hypocrisy" is just to smear people who care about climate change.
Reality check: you need to use the current technology while we transition to the next technology.
That would be like dumping on Edison for using a candle.

Your point is obviously valid - the example might be a little unfortunate, as Edison definitely didn't care about anything or anyone except himself and his personal glory (ideally expressed in hard currency)...

Queen/QAL does the same on long-haul flights. They only use a private plane for the short(er) flights within a continent or country.

Usually Adam (and Spike and Tyler) don’t even travel with the UK group, because they fly in from the USA. 😉

With the money Brian and Roger have they should both have their own private A380 planes.

Just wait till they find out that Iron Maiden have their own private plane and worse still - singer Bruce Dickinson actually pilots it too.......
