Hi everyone.
Below I post a long article on Freddie Mercury and Queen, written by the English journalist Tim Lott and published in the music magazine Sounds on 4th June 1977 with the title QUEEN: 'It's nice to indulge in a bit of debauchery'.
It is essentially the review of Queen's concert at the Bristol Hippodrome on 23rd May 1977, the opening date of the English tour of 'A Day At The Races' (or 'Jubilee Tour' as it is often called); the review is positive. Curious how Lott also includes 'Down In The City' among the songs played that evening, probably referring to 'Now I'm Here'. Once the review is finished, Lott continues with a nice interview with Freddie Mercury, in which the singer talks about various topics, including the musical change of the band, his production company (with which he has just signed Peter Straker), Mary Austin etc. Enjoy the reading!
