Every year at Christmas there's always a huge glut of celeb autobiographies that clog up the shelves in bookstores and supermarkets (perfect presents for those of us who leave it until Christmas Eve to do our shopping). Most of them are reality TV stars books, but there's also a fair amount of music stars who put books out - Roger Daltrey, Elton John and Ronnie Wood are just some of the stars who I can think of. Often not extremely in-depth (they often seem to be in big font) these hardbacks are still a good read into the lives of our heroes.
Question is - do you think Brian or Roger would ever put an autobiography out? Roger perhaps not so much - I hear his memory is shockingly bad, plus with his various infidelities and rock 'n' roll lifestyle he may not want (or be able) to put everything down. But Brian would be a prime candidate I'd think.
Do you think Brian will release a book? Do you think he has been writing one? He's a stickler for collecting and cataloguing and I could see him keeping journals and diaries which may give us an insight into his life, but also the band's too.

We already know quite a lot about Brian and his life. I'm wondering what an autobiography could actually bring, aside from gathering it all together?

Queen in 3D pretty much covers everything about Brian. I will have to disagree about Roger's memory - if you listen to him in interviews and podcasts he can recall things quite vividly and in many instances they are more accurate than Brian's.

I for one would love to hear his thoughts and reflections on his life experiences more in-depth-- and maybe hear a few new stories culled from tons that I'm sure haven't been told yet. He has such an elegant way of putting things, and is a great writer. That said, as someone else mentioned, Queen in 3D seems to be as close to that as we could hope for so far.

Would love to read John Deacon's memoir, though...

No, I don't think either of them ever will.
