Hello all.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the labels printed on vinyl records?
I have a "Don't stop me now" single from 1978 which has the same label both sides.
Is this a collectors piece or are there 1000's around?
Thanks. Tony

Record collector here. So, although an oddity, not really a collectors piece. Quite a few of these issues happen and is mostly due to quality control failing at the record plant. They can be fun to have in your collection, but it also grants the need for a second purchase without the flaw It becomes more interesting when the print on the labels have flaws or even artwork that has caused an issue. At which point a whole batch/run of pressings can get withdrawn, so, called back from distribution. In some cases these versions even land up at record stores themselves, so a lucky few would have those early versions with different printed labels or sleeves. One from Queen that comes to mind is the 'Hammer to Fall' 7" with the live photo cover.

Thanks for replies, appreciated.
As an aside, was advised to look on discogs for info. No matter what parameters I used, absolutely nothing turned up!
