Hi all bit of fun, been watching ITV4 recently and noticed a couple of appearances of Queen in the background of old TV programmes. Have you seen Queen popping up in tv shows when you least expect it? Here are couple of examples in ‘Man about the House’ there is a poster of Queen Live at the Rainbow in the girls flat. Here is a good example youtu.be/awKJ9BxvH_I @ 14.05 Another example is Inspector Morse in the episode ‘Last Bus to Woodstock’ in Johns bedroom is the ‘Sheer Heart Attack’ album cover on the wall youtu.be/lxgZ36VrPZw @ 28.32

this is very interesting, I just checked some bits of the S02 E05 of that show and I just realized a pretty weird thing, I've checked Wikipedia to find the broadcasting date of that episode and it says February 6th 1974, it seems pretty weird cause the poster is from their November 74 show. Maybe someone just wrongly labeled the broadcasting date or that Youtube channel labeled it wrong. there was also a movie based on same TV show released in December 22nd 1974 so most likely the video came from that.

I’d have to check, but I think the naked bicycle race poster is on a wall in the first episode of Miami Vice.

Cannot remember the show - sorry - but I remember a comedy sketch show around 1990 with a couple who were having guests around and suddenly started to panic if their house was 'politically correct' enough. They dashed around hiding the South African oranges and so on, then the husband spotted an LP of The Miracle and shouted "quick, hide the Queen LP - they played Sun City!"

In 2019 Brazilian TV soap opera/telenovela Verão 90 ("90s Summer") one of the characters who was a fortune teller had a vision with Freddie Mercury in which an image of him from The Miracle video appeared and talked to her. The next day she got a cardboard cut-out of crossdressing Freddie from the Break Free video (didn't manage to get a screencap of that) and that along with the vision inspires her to use the stage name "Freda Mercurio".

I managed to find this one, of the Freddie vision (not sure if it's region-locked): globoplay.globo.com/v/7429823/Unfortunately I couldn't find video clips of the other Freddie appearances (the cardboard cutout and I also remember one time that they had the fortune teller watching clips of the Rio 85 show)

Hi All i was watching an episode of Man About the House (1975) and noticed a Queen poster on the wall in the flat, never expected to see the boys and it got me thinking, has anyone else noticed Queen pop up in unusual/unexpected places in tv series or films? They appear at 21.51

Day at the Races album in the Elton John Rocketman Film, it's a blink and you miss it moment I always noticed that. Have watched this film numerous times and it just stands out - especially given it's a scene featuring an argument between Elton and John, and John managed both acts.

And there's the episode of Quantum Leap where one of the characters is wearing a Queen T. Don't ask me which episode now.
Also an episode of Bottom has a massive RT "Happiness" subway poster on the (studio) set of a side street....

Suprised to see Family Guy has not been mentioned. It has quite some references throughout its seasons, but most notably the episode "Killer Queen" featuring News of the World, focusing mostly on the frightning sleeve art... quite funny en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_Queen_(Family_Guy)

Flipping heck, I had an inkling that I had posted this before, but couldn’t find it! Sorry for the duplicated thread. Getting old is no fun.

Brian's Leaving Home Aint Easy was used in an episode of UK comedy called The Green Green Grass. It was great to hear a Queen song that wasnt a hit being used for a change. It was an episode called Sweet Sorrow - Season 3 ep4.

About 25 years ago I heard In Charge Of My Heart by the Cross during a Dutch news item. Very odd.

An example from American Dad (the superior Seth MacFarlane show, if you ask me): the throne set-up looks quite familiar, doesn't it?

Well, he is known to be quite the Queen fan. Good on him for crossing over his passions / interests for the rest of us to pick up.
