While I'm reading all these hypotetical albums my eyes are bleeding... Disappointed. Jealousy, In only seven days, life is real, white queen... I understand that everyone has is opinion but, these are beautiful underrated tracks...! well, as I've got a 75% hit-rate on the tunes you mention, I'll take a stab at this: IMO... ♦ In Only Seven days - bland, insipid, uninspired schmaltz ♦ Life Is Real - trite nonsense, as "tributes" go, it's definitely one of the worst of all time. And, in a category that includes REM's Let Me In, Phil Lynott's King's Call and U2's Stuck In A Moment, this really is saying something. ♦ White Queen - a hugely overrated dull dirge Note: I could've easily picked Hot Space in its entirety, but that'd be lacking effort on my part. Your comment shows how much this is all personal thoughts/opinions. I think LIR is one of the few bearable tracks on HS. WQ is my favourite track on QII, while the U2 track is one of their better late career compositions. They have been dog poo since.

While I would fully support you if you'd done that, your reason for not doing so is sound.

I understand that everyone has is opinion but, these are beautiful underrated tracks...! In your opinion...!I concur w/davis_taylor.1984 re. his appraisal of WQ. I consider Jealousy and IOSD to be pretty good; I'm not familiar with LIR.
Two Queen songs I consider underrated are She Makes Me and More Of That Jazz; while I wouldn't place either in the 'beautiful' category, I also consider them to be pretty good (sorry, LF).

I neglegted the FG album and the B-sides. Here's my list in alphabetical order (I didn't bother to make the perfect track list, 'cos it's bunch of bad songs, and I don't think the order will save this album): 1. Body Language (It's a bad Queen song, and it's not even a good disco/dance song.) 2. Calling All Girls (imo, Roger never should have been given more than one track per album. There's a Roger track I don't like on just about every album after Races, and Hot Space surely isn't an exeption.) 3. Delilah (It ruins Innuendo for me.) 4. Fun It (see my point on CAG.) 5. Get Down, Make Love (I just hate the middle bit! Maybe it was adventorous back in the day, but I first heard this on the 90's and it sounded bad. The raw sessions version is much better. And also, I think it was one of the hightlights on Q+AL NOTW anniversary tour. So, maybe it's not a bad song but the album version is not for me.) 6. My Life Has Been Saved (I can't understand why this was chosen on MIH. Should have stayed a forgotten B-side.) 7. Pain Is So Close To Pleasure (I can't even remember when I last listened to this one. I've never liked it.) 8. Party (The Miracle box showed that they had so many good new songs at the time, and for ome reason, they chose this to open the album. They made A LOT of bad choices for that album. Maybe this is not the worst song that made it to the album, but to put it on spot as an album opener?!? Definately one of the worst choices.) 9. Rain Must Fall (Another axample of the bad choices thay made on The Miracle.) 10. Sheer Heart Attack (For me, Queen were everything punk was not. This song is just raw power and fury, no melody, no class.) 11. Staying Power (A strong candidate in the worst album opener contest. Hot Space was their low point in many ways. The track order didn't help, as the whole A-side is so synth-driven. 12. Who Needs You (Who needs this song? John always had these light pop songs that either hit you, or don't. Many people seem to dislike Misfire and In Only 7 Days. I really like those (mainly for Brian's guitar harmonies), but this one never did anything for me (probably, 'cos Brian didn't do his magic on this track). Thanks for this thread! It was refreshing to slag Queen songs for a while.

These are the songs I always skip (except if I'm listening to the album on vinyl): Funny How Love Is Misfire Don't Try Suicide Cool Cat Pain is so Close to Pleasure Gimme The Prize Don't Lose Your Head Rain Must Fall My Baby Does Me The Hitman plus these B-sides: Stealing Hijack My Heart ...and pretty much all of the Made In Heaven album except "Its A Beautiful Day" (and maybe "Too Much Love Will Kill You"). Pick the track you want

Unfortunately Roger needed to be represented and I wanted a range of albums, it's too similar to "A Human Body" which I think is the better track.
11 & 12, Left off the album for a reason and much better on Queen II.

First, my staunch disagreements with what I've read so far:
White Queen - a top 5 Queen song for me. I cannot imagine Queen II without this track in all its beauty and splendor. The climax may well be the single most powerful moment in their entire discography. Good Company - the outro is arguably Brian May's greatest achievement on tape, with him mimicking a Dixieland jazz band (trumpet/trombone/clarinet) with guitars. Never replicated before or since. Utter genius. Who Needs You - to me it's tracks like this that made Queen so great. They attempted so many genres of music just once, and this is a solid stab at Latin from everyone involved. Dead On Time - if they weren't writing mega-hits by this time and remained an album band, this track would be hailed as a classic. In Only Seven Days - lyrically it may be a little silly, but musically it's one of the most adventurous pieces in their catalogue. Khashoggi's Ship - all the Queen trademarks are here. I have no idea why people scoff at it. The Hitman - one of the heaviest things they ever wrote, yet it's full of beautiful vocal and musical hooks. An anomaly in the Queen canon. My Life Has Been Saved - a perfect reprieve on Made In Heaven after the intensity and melancholy of Mother Love. I wouldn't change a note on this entire album.
The middle/later period of Queen's output no doubt has some filler, but the first few albums are still rock solid to my ears after all these years. Here are my picks for the bottom of the barrel:
Side Meh: Fun It Coming Soon Body Language Pain is So Close to Pleasure Rain Must Fall My Baby Does Me
Side Blek: A Human Body Man on the Prowl Action This Day (although it was great live) Don't Lose Your Head Hijack My Heart Lost Opportunity
addendum - this was my playlist for the last half hour as I wrote up this post, and I loved every second of it:
White Man Jealousy If You Can't Beat Them Let Me Entertain You Leaving Home Ain't Easy Sail Away Sweet Sister Soul Brother Machines Keep Passing the Open Windows
Nobody shits gold for 20 years straight. But my god, these guys created so much great music.
